We (unfortunately) hired Susan and her crew to undertake several transplanting of plants/trees, plant new trees and creation of flowerbeds after the beginning of the year. After she had provided us a quote and we agreed to have her do the job, it took several calls to coordinate a day and time for them to come and do the job. We found this to be the case for even follow-up jobs: either her truck had broken down, she was sick, was in an accident, had her home flooded, was moving, etc. When her crew came for the big job, they quickly started “chopping” away at digging up the plants and trees. It was heartbreaking to later realize that they had dug small holes around the trees which caused many of the roots to be cut very short and damaged. None of the plants and trees they have transplanted are doing well and some are dying. The ones we have done ourselves, however, in comparison, are doing just fine.
There was one tree that was not available at the nursery at the time they came for the big job that was included in the price we paid her to plant. She said she ordered the plant and that it would come in two weeks and she would plant at no charge. Weeks went by and once I successfully contacted her we had difficulty with getting a day and time for her to come and plant (per the examples given above). She later said that we could plant the tree ourselves if we didn’t want to wait further. We agreed, as long as we could pick the tree up ourselves. However, when the nursery said we would have to pay the retailer price, I asked Susan to call the nursery to approve her contract price that she quoted us. I explained to her that the plant should have been here when they completed the job and that we had already paid her to plant it. She was extremely rude, said “fine” and hung up
on me. (She never did call the nursery and we took our business elsewhere.)
We now also learned that the “discounted contract” price she charged us on the new plants/trees are actually higher than retail prices compared to if we had bought on our own. Needless to say, we are extremely dissatisfied with the workmanship, customer service and reliability. We do not recommend her services.

The weather this spring has been very rainy, so the most difficult part was to get some dry days. Once the weather cooperated, the team came in and worked for 3 days to complete the landscaping plan. It looks wonderful. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Susan and her assoc. did an excellent job.orked long and hard. I definitely will use her in the near future.

They're great. I'd give them an "A" across the board on everything and I'm using them all the time.

Had the ladies come out and do some major weeding at my house. Landscape beds were just overrun. I felt like they (2 gardeners) did a good job, didn't waste time, and were very affordable. I didn't have anything planted, but the weeding and pruning they did made a huge difference, and it looks great!
You need to be clear with Susan about what you want done (she knows her stuff, but you need to make sure she doesn't assume what all you need done--just be clear with your needs and you'll be ok, I think), but I never felt like she was trying to oversell--on the contrary, I think the gardeners were worried about going over budget as opposed to finishing everything. We had a miscommunication about how long I wanted them to work. Once I clarified what I needed done and for them to just keep going until they were done, they completed everything in a timely manner and it looks great.
Again, I was amazed at how much they got done for the cost and the job they did was very good.

Susan performed landscaping services on a large bank at our house in the winter. She planted Verbena and promised that if they should die over the winter, she would replant in the spring. The verbena did die (17 out of 18 died) and so she sent her employees out to replant approximately 2 weeks ago. When it looked like the verbena was wilting a few days later, we soaked the bank with water all day. After we watered, and upon closer inspection, it was found that the verbena were not even planted in the ground. They were sitting on top of the soil and merely covered up with mulch. I tried phoning Susan about this for 3 days and she didn't return my call. I was able to finally reach her on her cell phone. If anyone has spent a few minutes with Susan, you will know that she talks too much and doesn't listen well. She didn't believe me when I told her about the plants but said she would come out and re-work last week. She hasn't phoned or come by. Additionally, she promised to re-seed the lawn where the grass died and she hasn't done that either. Even though much of the original work was very pretty, the broken promises and the lack of communication has killed any future work for us.

My overall experience with them has been excellent. They're very affordable.

I found her on Angie's List. She was very thorough and very conscientious. We wanted a really good job and she did a good job.

They don't do lawn and yard work, per se. They don't cut grass and things like that. They really do more of the gardening than the maintenance and upkeep kind of thing. If you want someone to cut your grass these are not the people to do that. She did a marvelous job on the project. She is great and keeps in contact with you to let you know what is happening and when she will be able to do things.

Susan Miller did some work for me before and I called her again and she came and looked at my yard and gave me an estimate of $2,800. I said, "Fine." Susan gave me a start date of Aug 24 and said it should take 2 days. It only took them a day and a half so Ms. Miller discounted my price to $2,500.! The work was accomplished by a neat polite work crew. They arrived on time, got to work and worked hard. Susan suggested that I plant grass to cover the large bare spots next to my rear fence where the shrubs had been removed. Since I had my own grass seed, there was no charge for her crew to spread the seed for me and cover it with straw. I couldn't believe how fast they tore down that awful mess of a Koi pond. The shrubs and trees were 14 ft high in places and so dense you could hardly see the 8 by 8 ft pond in the middle. In half a day the crew had it leveled!! My courtyard and yard don't flood any more.

Susan arrived on time to give me an estimate. After a complete survey of the property, she made several recommendations as to a course of action. We agreed on a price and she commited to begin work the following Monday. Arriving on time again, she and her crew worked without a break except for lunch. They returned the following day to complete the agreed upon tasks, but because of weather asked to postpone final touches until the following week. She returned again as planned and added a couple of extra touches as compensation for my inconvenience.

I'm very happy with my yard and I intend to take advantage of Unlimited Landscaping's "rent a gardener" service to keep it that way. Reasonably priced, quick and highly qualified.

They did a very good job and I had no problems with them at all. They were real nice people. My garden looks beautiful and the wall that surrounds it is definitely a source of protection. I love everything they did.
