Jay Payne

Mr. Payne has worked for me a dozen times this past summer. He is prompt and conscientious in his effort. Mr. Payne has done shrubs and garden work for me, and painted my lawn furniture, all of this done well. He says he aims to please and proves it. He doesn't mind getting down on his hands and knees to do a job well. Mr. Payne says he has been a carpenter for 35 years. Decks are his specialty. He also paints, cleans gutters, etc. Mr. Payne has no tools so he will need to use those from his employer. Also, Mr. Payne has no transportation but will walk up to 2 miles from the corner of Legion Street and King Springs Road or the customer can pick him up there. He lets the customer be the judge of the payment. I pay him $10.00 per hour and would hope that no one would take advantage by making a man walk 4 miles round trip without paying him for his effort.
