Honey Do Handy Man

Horrible. Called in june to get a quote of a roughly 1x1 ft area of rotten soffit needing replaced. Was told job would cost 150 plus materials. I said sounds great and scheduled the job for about 1 month out. Told the owner to just give me an estimate on materials and id pick them up. 3 weeks go by and no estimate. I call the owners personal cell and remind him of the promised material quote. 2 days later no response so i call and tell him no worries just do the job and ill pay him for it all. About 4 days later they do the job when im out of town, the night i get back i take a look and think they must have to come back because it doesent look done and there's trash, cigarette butts, and nails in my grass. I see this at 9 at night. I call them and tell them im not happy about the mess and ask them if theyre coming back out and the owner says hes done. I tell him im not happy with the job and he says hel come back next week. (They replaced a piece of 3/8" plywood with a 3/4" piece of whiteboard.) Next week comes around and no word so i call and ask when theyl be out and was told in a few days. I say great ill leave the correct wood out so he can do the job properly. 3 days go by and no word again. I try to call the owners line but he ignores my call and has his daughter call me. She tells me 3 days prior they decided not to come back out. This is a wednesday, on monday he told me theyd be back later in the week. So i say ok and ill just fix the remainder myself and i just wont pay. Well tonight im fixing the job they left undone and while on a ladder i notice while replacing a piece of rotten facia they have cut out about 36" worth and only repaced about 18". Once again i call and complain and tell the daughter they are gonna have to come and fix it and that it is twice as bad as it was to begin with. She tells me they "were out there 4 hrs and did the best they could do." Well when i was given a quote i wasnt quoted an hourly amount. I was quoted a job until complete. She tells me to "send a photo". So i send photos of the garbage and nails from the original visit as well as a photo of the section missing under my shingles. She doesent respond so i call AGAIN and she tells me "honey we had a **** ton of customers" when i tell her its the worst professional work ive eve had done. She then tells me shel never come out to fix it and "if you wanna leave a negative review go ahead." Literally worst work ive ever had done. I want to point out i never once cussed her or her father and always referred to them as sir and maam. Ill gladly post photos of before and after work if im able. P.s i literally fixed the issue they claimed "they couldnt do nothing about" in about 45 minutes. I have corresponding texts from her father saying he wont be back to fix the job because he doesent need to replace it with plywood. The 1st photo is a before example, the 2nd is the whiteboard after ive sanded about 1/8" off. The rest is the "work" the did.

Mike did a great job on a difficult fix, he searched the local hardware
stores and found the items needed to get the job done.  He was diligent
in making sure the job was accomplished regardless of the difficulty in
finding the problem and parts needed.
