Provider didn't install the system.  He had a helper that did the install.  Helper turned out to be a drug  addict.  He foundout I was a disabled vet and was trying to get drugs off me.  Didn't happen.  I advised the owner of what happened and he kept the helper.  Duck work was put in at all crazy angles which prevented free flow of air.  None of the old duct work or gas heater were removed as was supposed to be done to complete the job.  I mean they left a big mess and a lot of work for me, and as stated, I'm a disabled vet.  Owner refused to come out and check system.  Would not even talk to me on the phone.  Electric bills were over $600.00 a month in the winter, and that was while burning wood in my living room all the time in the winter.  I had to hire someone else to come out and straighten the system out.  Stuart Services has got to be the worst heating and airconditioning company.  I had also hired Mr Stuart to do some electrical  work since he was a licensed electrician.    That was another big mistake.  I already ran most of the wiring for the lights in the drop  ceiling and told him not to cut the wires.  He says , "you don't need all that wire" and cut the wires against my wishes.  Because of his cutting the wires, I had to run new wire for the one light so it could be placed properly.  I had also hired Mr Stuart to install a couple of 3 way switches for a ceiling light.  I had to get a diagram off the internet so he would know how to wire the 3 way switches and he still did not install them properly.  Only one switch works the light instead of two.  I don't knowhow he has an electricians license without knowing how to wire these switches.
One thing is for certain.  I will never call on Mr Stuart for any of his services again.  He has to be the worst heat pump installer and electrician in the area.
Mr Stuart stated through his secretary that he would not talk to me or come out and repair the AC unit because I did not pay him fully for his service.  He was paid in full for putting in the heat pump.  He was not paid in full for the electrical service he performed after the heat pump was installed.  When having to run the one wire again for one of my lights in the drop ceiling and the 3 way switchs not installed properly, I only paid him 2/3rds of what he wanted which was still more that what he deserved.

"A response to this man is so undeserved. Told me he was Babe Ruth's first cousin. Did the work,he loved it. Hired me to run a few plugs and lights, he loved it. It came time to pay me,he was less interested. I refused him service for failure to pay his bill. We do not service accounts that are 60 days late. For 6 years this man has been slandering our company. I cut him some slack because he is a veteran, albeit a veteran with a dishonest spirit. The kind that tries to beat you out of something. He lives to cheat. The day is almost here. Slander is subject to punitive damages,and I will not give him any quarter. Do not do business with this man or you will regret it. He does not pay his bills"

Had our usual heating and air company take a look at the heater that was not coming on.  They indicated that it would be at least 3 days, and would cost hundreds of dollars to repair because the part that was broken was obsolete, and the replacement requried significant retrofit of the heater.  Wanting a second opinion, and to better understand the repair/replace options, we contacted Stuart Services.  They came out the next day, and did exhaustive research on options for used parts, alternate controls etc.  They also determined the age of the existing system, and had a very in-depth discussion on the cost and benefit of all of the possible approaches.  After exhausting inexpensive repair options, including used and after-market parts that were immediately available (family wanted heat), the decision was made to replace with an equivalent unit.

System arrived and was installed within 2 business days.  The crew was efficient and got it set up and working within 4 hours.  They did a good job cleaning up as they left, and were very polite and professional.  A few minor issues were identified with the installation within a week, and these were fixed immediately upon notification, no-questions-asked.  The final price of the new system was very affordable, and we are looking forward to a long relationship with Stuart Service, Inc.
