Best Priced Handyman

I WILL MAKE THIS SHORT. AT FIRST PETE WAS PROMPT AND DELIVERED AS PROMISED. BUT THEN IT HAPPENED. SUMP PUMP STOPPED WORKING AND I PETE GO TO REPAIR IT. THREE MONTHS LATER WHEN SELLING THE HOUSE, THE SUMP PUMP WAS INOPERABLE AND I CALLED PETE TO MAKE GOOD ON THE REPAIR HE SAID HE MADE. NOTHING BUT CRICKETS FROM HIM AND HIS SON-IN-LAW ETHAN. DON'T TRUST HIM. STAY CLEAR. JUST BE ADVISED. NICK

At first, everything looked good but now, all these problems are starting to show. The contractors that we have brought in for estimates all point their fingers at Pete Markowitz of Best Priced Handyman, saying he had cut corners, installing the bathroom showers and tubs. Pete is a heavy smoker and take frequent smoking breaks. I have found numerous cigarette butts on my property and when I confronted him about it, he said "relax, I'll clean them up". I still found at least 5 butts in my grass. His helper would talk to me about the time he spent in jail, which did not make me very comfortable, even though it was for something unrelated to the work he was doing at my home. I do not recommend Pete of Best Priced Handyman at all. The work may look good to you when completed but just like us, I sure you will have troubles down the road.

Owner Pete responded very quickly to request for service. Scheduled day and time for measurements and estimate. Upon arrival was professional, courteous, and thorough. Measured for tile thoroughly and accurately - no tile waste; also scheduled installation date at this time. Called day before scheduled installation to inform that his tile installer, Avery, would come at 9 am. Avery was on time, professional, friendly,and courteous. He is easy going, laid back, yet efficient - no wasted time. He installed tile Mon and came back Tues to apply grout and finish job. He did a nice job - it looks great. Cleaned up areas well.  Neither Pete or Avery, however, advised to seal the grout. Maybe they forgot or they thought I knew this, and I forgot to ask when Pete was here. So, I had to call Pete to ask and what type of sealer he recommended, which he did. Previous experience with tile install, the installer always advised to seal grout and recommended type to use. So when dealing with grout it is best to seal it to prevent staining, especially in kitchen and floors. Would highly recommend this handyman service. Will call Pete again in future if I have work to be done.

Pete and his assistant were on time each day, stayed within my budget, and did a great job! He cleaned up at the end of each day and told me what to expect the next day. Honest, friendly, and trustworthy. I will use him again in the future, absolutely!

Very nice gentleman, did an ok job with the installation, the painting was sloppy and had to be redone and some of the trim didn't line up well after he was finished

This really is a handy guy.  He arrived on time, worked diligently and showed up with every tool that could possibly be needed.  Repairs done were accomplished without having to rip the place apart as well.  I will keep his number handy.

Fabulous guy! He's been helping me for 3 years, always very good work.

I called Pete on Monday to promptly have my call returned within the hour. Set an appointment for yesterday; Pete was on time, professional, fixed my problem within an hour. After being through several providers, I am thrilled to have found him as I have a and quot;listand quot; of items that I need done.

Great guy, very reliable. Excellent prices!

Pete shows up a little early and does nice work at a reasonable price. He has done drywall repairs, ceramic tile flooring, toilet installations, attic fan replacements, light fixture installations and other and quot;punch listand quot; jobs for us in past 2 years. He removed and replaced an and quot;unhandyman'sand quot; venting and flooring work in our laundry room, charging less than what I paid the unhandyman (who was referred to us by a neighbor).

. He called to let us know he was sick and would not be able to make the appointment we had first scheduled. We rescheduled and that time he was prompt. Work took about and hour. Well done.

He told us that he would charge $160, but he didn't tell us that we're going to have to pay him for the supplies he bought and brought, so we ended up paying more. He was on the phone for the first quarter of the time he was working and he scratched our fridge.

I like everything about them. They were on time. They were very dependable, good and fabulous. I will totally use them for everything. The service was great. The only thing he could not do was install a nest thermostat that I bought. I asked if he could put it in but he said it was very confusing, with extra wires so I had to get a professional nest guy out.

Pete showed up very promptly and was easy to communicate with on what needed done.

He gave estimates right up front - no hidden fees ... Got right on jobs and kept me updated on progress

His prices are very reasonable and he does what he tells you he'll do

Left no mess and was just a nice honest guy to get work done, I enjoyed him - excellent handyman work and tile job is gorgeous!

Pete remodeled our garage. It involved extensive dry wall repair, painting, and adding a laundry area with new flooring and cabinets. Pete came back to finish up alot of details and took pride in his work. We will be calling him again as projects come up.

I initially hired Pete to come in and fix a couple issues I had from a previous contractor. Since I was happy with the work he did there, I asked him to look at some additional work I wanted done in my kitchen. He demo'd and rebuilt walls opening up a see through from my kitchen to the living room, closed off a closet and moved around some appliances. The job ended up being bigger than anticipated since once he got started, I could see other things I wanted changed. He had no problem with dealing with my tendency to be a bit indecisive about some work that I wanted done and was very willing to make suggestions to help me. Very punctual, dependable and honest individual. I had no problem allowing him to work in my home with no one there. He even gave water to my puppy dogs if they ran out. Quite a pleasure to do business with a professional like Pete. I will definately use him again.Christine

Excellent. Pete arrived and quickly assessed the job and he went with me to hardware store to get needed supplies. Back to the house, job done excellently and price was very reasonable. He serves the Franklin, Brentwood, Cool Springs area.
