Very professional crew that aimed to please. He did an excellent job of tying in new installation to existing. All miter cuts were perfect.

We are very pleased with the final result. Initially, we noticed some vibration marks which appeared as the stain cured. We brought this to Shane's attention, and he was quick to make it right. They came back, did a light resanding, and water popped the floor to get the richer color we wanted. We were impressed with Shane's expertise, responsiveness to inquiries, and his attitude. He obviously cares a lot about his work and wants to achieve a good product. They didn't rest until we were completely satisfied.

Gatlin Hardwood Floor Co. Came into my 50 plus year old home and restored badly damaged oak hardwood floors. The results were absolutely amazing. It took a little longer than I expected, but the end result was well worth the wait. Professional, friendly trustworthy, highly skilled manager and team was everything I expected and more!

We wanted to replace approximately 200 sq. ft. of carpeting with hardwood flooring in our living room. Shane Gatlin responded to my inquiry for an estimate within an hour of my initial phone call and squeezed in some time out of his busy schedule to come to our house within a day of the phone call. He arrived a few minutes early to take measurements of our living room and give options and advice about how best to match the hardwood install with the existing hardwood floors in our kitchen and dining room. Within fifteen minutes of leaving he called back with an estimate on the work. We agreed on the price and Mr. Gatlin asked me to get in touch with him next week so he could schedule the work in.
A few days later Shane was able to work with us to get the initial carpet removal and floor installation scheduled. Despite the weather threatening thunderstorms he still committed to come to our house and attempt to get the first part of the install done. My wife and I had to go to work for the day and a half it took to remove the carpet and install the floors, but Shane kept us apprised of his progress and asked us to make decisions as he came upon unforeseen issues.
The initial install looked fantastic. It wasn't yet sanded or finished, but the install team left our house clean with no sign of them having been there - except for the new wood installed, of course. After two weeks of letting the floor settle into the environment, Shane did his best to accommodate sanding and finishing the floor to coincide with a weekend trip we already had planned so we would be out of the house for that part of the work.
One minor thing that we had not thought about before we left for our trip was the matter of our indoor cats having to be restricted from walking into the floor finish. We were already out of town when Shane called us with his concern and he went above and beyond by collecting our rather skittish cats and putting them and their food and water in a separate bedroom.
The end result was an amazing looking floor that blended very well with our existing floors in the other rooms. We are totally satisfied with every aspect of the operation.
Gatlin Floor Company embodies the epitome of professionalism and customer service. Their work is outstanding and their communication with the customer is top notch. Not once did we feel nervous about the work performed. We will certainly be using them in the future. We would also highly, highly recommend this company to anybody else looking to get wood floor work done.

Shane was responsive to my call, came out and gave a quote that was inclusive of everything we needed, we agreed on price, the work crew assigned was on time, kind and courteous, clean and professional. The floor looks GREAT! Everyone that has seen it has been more than impressed. We will use them for future floor work.

The install went very well. The old glue-down flooring was a challenge to remove but they performed admirably. The install was done well and 'tightly'. There was one small area where the concrete slab had a large dip in it and the flooring was not solid in that area. Once this was noted the installers fixed the problem area and no further problems were noted.
The finish job was beyond expectations. We have a truly stunning floor now.
