Found problem as to why furnace would not run

I have used Sandrell several times in the past, before they were affiliated with Hiller, and I have loved them. |They came out several weeks ago (as Hiller) to do the "winter inspection" on my heating/cooling unit. The tech found wood dust in my unit, so he recommended an air duct cleaning. He said someone would call me on Monday to discuss it. Tuesday came and went and I never received a call, so I contacted Mr. B's, who responded immediately via email and quoted me $350 for the duct cleaning, plus a free dryer vent cleaning. |When Hiller finally contacted me later on Tuesday, they quoted me nearly $600. I told them I would use Mr. B's due to cost. The rep at Hiller then asked if he could check to see if they could meet Mr. B's price, which they did. |We set up an appointment for Hiller to clean my ducts on Saturday, November 16, with scheduled arrival for between 8 and 10am. By 10:15, no one had arrived or called. I called Hiller and found out that they had too many emergency calls and weren't sure if they would get to me that day. I was a little annoyed that they were outside the scheduled arrival time and no one had called to tell me what was going on. But they offered to knock off another $50 for the inconvenience (bringing my total down to $300), and they rescheduled for Saturday, November 23. |The workers arrived at 8:15am and were done within three hours. They were friendly (even stopping to pet my cats on several occasions) and seemed knowledgeable. They showed me all the junk that was in their "vacuum" that they pulled from my house. (It was disgusting! I don't like thinking about what I've been breathing for 7 years.) |I love saving money, so for the little bit of inconvenience of having to wait for them to contact me initially and then having to be rescheduled, I feel like I got a great deal. |FYI: My house is 1500 sq ft and has a 2.5T unit. (Depending on the company, they base the price on either square footage or the size of the unit.)

When I called for an estimate I got a call back from the owner! Was very up front about the pros and cons of different brands verses their cost. Gave us an excellent price compared to the competition, installed the system the next day and took our payment over the phone. Sent us copies of the invoice and manual by mail. Inspected the installation of the unit several weeks later and it was very professional - no corners were cut. Will use them again.

Called Sandrell Heating/AC for service call amount (general cost charged to come and assess) and discussed the issue regarding my HVAC unit. Individual answering phone told me there were three others 'ahead' of me for service that day, but that she would call and let me know when an agent was on the way and that someone WOULD be there prior to the time I had to leave for work. She did everything promised. Agent came and inspected unit and quickly determined the problem. He checked to see if the replacement part (the 'igniter') was in the truck or if he would have to order or pick up a part and return later. He had the part. He checked to see if the cost of the part was acceptable to me prior to installation. He replaced the part and showed me the damaged part he had pulled from the HVAC unit. He also checked the entire unit prior to calling the visit 'done'. He was quick, efficient, and professional. I would have this company come again for any HVAC problem in my home. The company and the agent were timely and very responsive and reasonable in cost. They were excellent in follow-through of service.

They were fine. They were neat and they didn't leave a mess. They did what they said they were going to do. The price was good. I had to ask them to go up in the attic and they did it, but I don't think I should have had to ask. They were friendly and professional.

I called Sandrell for a quote to compare it to a quote I received from another company. The quote was $1000 less than the other company and for a better quality unit. The unit was installed in less than 24 hours.
