JOHN IS AWESOME! This is the first time I have used this company. I think it is a one-man show and he is awesome. I love small businesses where the guy that shows up is the actual owner. He cares about his work and it showed. He was at my house on time (actually a little early) and got right to business. Diagnosed and fixed the problem and was out of here quickly. Also, cleaned up any mess he made and allowed me time to clean behind and under my refrigerator while it was away from the wall to be repaired. I WOULD DEFINITELY GIVE HIM A CALL BACK IN THE FUTURE! THANKS JOHN!

John came right on time on a Thursday-but said he would have to order new valve and would be back Saturday morning at 8:30 to install. Came back and got everything working. This was the valve that supplied our icemaker and water dispenser. Would use him again.

The repairman showed up on time, checked on my dishwasher and gave me an estimate to repair it. I approved the repair and he repaired the dishwasher. He charged just what he told me initially even though he ran into a problem and it took him longer to repair the dishwasher than I think he expected. He was very professional and worked quickly. I would use this company again.

I called on a Friday afternoon.
John had an appointment for Saturday morning at 8:30.
He arrived early!!! So refreshing!!
Came in got right to work!
Found the problem.
(I had gone to change loads and found myself standing in half an inch of water!)
John told me the problem.
Went and got the parts and fixed my elderly washer!!
Very professional!
Extremely prompt!
John will be fixing all of my appliances from now on!

John assessed the non-functioning Whirlpool clothes washer and found AND SHOWED me 2 critical damages within the unit. He explained the estimate of his repair cost for parts and labor then he discussed the cost of new units. He also explained both positive and negative features of various machines that I asked about. He was perfectly fine with me purchasing a new machine instead of receiving a fat paycheck to fix mine! I trust John now and will call him again for other needs!, even though he is a bit gruff. :-)

It was the day before 4th of July. When I went to refrigerator upon awaking, the temperature was 57 degrees. The bottom freezer was same temp and everything was unfrozen. We called several repair companies we knew of, even three or four on Angie's List. They all had the same story, bot until next week. I called John's Appliance Service. The lady that answered was very polite and stated that he actually had an 11:00 appointment in our area. She called him to see if he could come by and look at it. She said he could be there around 12:00-12:30. He was on time. Looked at the refrigerator, heard the noise I had tried to described, told me what it was and that he had the part in his truck. He quoted me a very reasonable price. I agreed, but as he started to his truck, I asked him to look at my dryer door. When we moved, the clip that keeps the door closed had fallen off. I had been propping a step ladder in front of it to dry clothes. He brought in the clip, fixed that in less than one minute than went on to fix the frig. As he was getting ready to leave, I asked him what the price was with the addition of the dryer door. He said and quot;I'm not charging you for the dryer, there was nothing to itand quot;. Needless to say, his name went down in my address book under R for Repairman to be used again. God bless honest businessmen.

We have used John's services before and our neighbors do as well.
He always arrives when he says he will.
He knows his business inside and out.
If he's not familiar with the issue (or a particular brand), he'll tell you up front.
This icemaker issue is just like a previous reviewer's.
John suggested a generic valve vs the 3 way factory valve.
I agreed and it was done in minutes.
The price is always fair.
I can't recommend John highly enough...

I had been working (patiently) with another appliance repairman for months (literally!) to figure out what was wrong with the ice and water dispensers and why there was no power to them. Finally, after six months of fussing around with this fellow, I said "that's it" and called John's Appliance in Somerville. Twenty minutes later, John was at my house, two hours later the problem was resolved (four of five wires that run from the refrigerator box to the door had snapped from overuse). I should have called John's Appliance when the problem first appeared. Next time I will. Service like this is the best: quick, efficient, effective, and fairly priced.
