First, I'll state that the RV hookup is good and functional now. However, the road to get there was less than impressive. Beyond the initial estimate, I didn't deal with Spence, but with his father, Mike. Spence seems competent, but I can't say as much for his father. When giving the estimate, Spence determined that he would need to install a tandem circuit breaker. Whether that information was passed on to Mike, I cannot say, but he did not have the necessary equipment when he arrived and had to go to Home Depot and buy it before he could proceed. That was fine, it only added an hour or so. Once installed, I assumed all was well. The hookup was for my parents' trailer when they visit, so I had no means of testing it until they arrived several days later. It was then that we learned that something was faulty. The circuit breaker in the trailer would trip when the AC was turned on, and we could smell electrical burning. I called Spence and Mike came out again. Mike said he was given the wrong breaker by his supplier. That was how he worded it. He got the right breaker, installed it, and went on his way. The problem persisted, so I called Spence again. Mike came back. I was out on a walk with my wife, so my visiting father dealt with him -- he had a better idea of the problem (it being his trailer) in any case. It turns out, Mike had installed the 30 amp hookup at 240 volts, claiming that I had told him that was what we needed. He never even asked about the amperage needed (Spence did, so I assume that at least was passed along), much less the voltage. 30 amp hookups are 120 volt; 50 amp hookups are 240 volt. Later on, Mike apparently said Spence assumed it was 240 volt -- which I doubt, considering the other blame shifting Mike did. Things are working now, and there was no charge beyond the initial $425. I can't complain about the promptness of service in getting things fixed. Spence seems friendly and competent, and I would be glad to deal with him again. I won't, however, because of my experience with Mike.

I needed underground electric run to a new pump. C&C came out and estimated what would be required. They recommended ways to do the job that would save money and ensure best operation. C&C even happily came out for a 2nd site visit to consult with the plumbing company working on the job. The work was done with professionalism and done when they promised. Passed inspection on the 1st go-round. I had a great experience with C&C, and so I'm happy to recommend them to others in the local area!

Electrician arrived 10 minutes after calling to verify that would be OK. He worked carefully but efficiently, checking his work at every stage. He made an effort to get things right--for instance using a level to mark where the lines to cut out for the new wall switch box. He didn't complain about having to crawl around in the attic's blown insulation. He picked up after himself (although of course we still needed to vacuum after he left). Overall, I was very pleased with his work and with his attitude.

Excellent ! After an initial consultation with Spence, work was scheduled within 2 days. Workers arrived on time and reviewed with us the work to be done. All work was completed within one day, and cleanup was thorough. It's really wonderful to plug in a heavy duty steampress, industrial sewing machine, and portable heater all at once, and have no circuit trip! It's made us even happier to be in this new (but older) house that we purchased! We plan on using C&C Electric again for more work, and would recommend them highly.

They have done a fine job. He was on time and was able to fix what needed fixed. He gets things done. Everything went well.

I contacted C & C to install a new door bell button which I had previously purchased. The installation site makes it difficult to work (and easy to scrape knuckles on a rough surface). It took Spence about 20 - 30 to prepare the hole to accept the button mechanism. When he started to install the device, it became obvious that the unit I had bought was defective. Spence very generously said he would not charge me since I still didn't have a door bell button,

I was mostly satisfied but, and this is probably a silly problem but, one of the things I asked him to do was to check a switch in my bathroom that goes to one of the lights because it comes on and sometimes it doesn't. I didn't know what else would do that but electric. He fixed or replaced the switch. It's one of 4 in a long series. It still, I'm noticing, it still doesn't always come on but it's a light that I rarely use so I haven't complained about it. I think he did a fine job. He did a couple of other things as well. I did not feel that the price was a problem.
