Our A/C stopped blowing cold air. I called Tuesday morning and a service tech arrived within 30 minutes. Within 20 minutes the tech isolated the problem to a bad capacitor on the outside condenser. They replaced it and they were on their way. I asked for an itemized bill/receipt. Total cost was $70 for labor and $135 for the capacitor. After they had left I looked up the cost of a new capacitor online and they run about $20 on the high end. I understand a markup on parts but 675% markup I do not understand, that is extremely high. I would recommend them on service and but I think next time I will attempt the diagnosis myself or have them diagnose and I will find the part myself and do the work to replace it.

The board replacement went well, but, we also requested a quote at that point for a new furnace. A few weeks passed by with no response, and we requested another. We recently requested a quote for a third time for a new furnace and we've still yet to receive a response.
Disappointing to say the least. Their service tech. was courteous & punctual, but the company just doesn't seem to want our business. I'd hate to have to call them for an actual emergency.

Repairman arrived on schedule. He called 30 minutes ahead of his arrival to verify the appointment (on some occasions the servicemen have called to delay because of earlier unexpected job complications). He quickly diagnosed the problem, installed a temporary fix, and ordered the replacement. He noted that the temporary fix might not last long, but any help was welcomed. He returned the next day and installed the replacement part as promised. Also, he was right about the temporary fix; it failed after about 14 hours.

Process of inspection and getting to source of problem went well. Tech was courteous, efficient and prompt. If issue can possibly wait to week day then wait. Company was very responsive and under the circumstances I appreciate that but services were very costly because of overtime.

They have an office here in Signal Mountain which is convenient for me. When you have a problem with the furnace failing they show up immediately. They're very prompt and responsive. Not only do they give good service but they give good advice as well.

This company didn't seem to care that I was without a furnace during freezing weather. They were not able to help me in time so I ended up contacting another company that did have the part and did the repair same day. When I called Mountain City to tell them not to bother to come back they ended up billing me for a service charge that was more than the company wanted that actually did the work. Their rates were about three times higher than the other company and they were very unprofessional.
