KING'S CUSTOM HARDWOOD FLOORS

Awful. I mean abysmal. First, I had to pester them repeatedly to return my call. Finally got them, and met with them. Then when they were supposed to come, they moved me back several times. Finally, they came out for about an hour, just to make an appearance. As for the job, it was even worse. Scratches going against the grain are very visible, and in the stain under the poly. Stain was applied unevenly, meaning light spots are visible in many places. Only 2 coats of poly were applied. Lots of trash in the finish. No prep work was done, I had to remove any molding or other things that needed to be moved. They also got stain on the walls, painted trim, tile floor, and brand new carpet (which they were specifically asked to be careful around). Finally, they left a big mess. Sandpaper all over the place, dirty rags, empty poly and stain cans, etc. And that is just the finish. I am tearing out the staircase work that was done, and redoing it due to how poor it is. 1/4" gaps and uneven wood everywhere. Very visible, and looks worse than the first plastic model I built as a 6 year old boy. Their price seemed pretty reasonable...until you figure how bad a job they did. $1.75/SF, without special charges for closets, etc.
