Cabinets,Countertops & More

The contractor (James Greenwald) listed all things he and his workers could and would accomplish.  He described their abilities and gave a time span for the work to be accomplished.  The counters arrived and the installers cut the sink opening for the counter too large; they had to return the next day with a replacement quartz counter top. They suggested that I allow them to rig the damaged top with a seam down the middle so they would not have to return.  I did not agree  to that. The contractor was not on the premises; he was at another job on another location and did not supervise the workers, personally. He sent a subordinate who had no say. The contractor had to be consulted by phone. The counters were finally installed. The cabinet was rebuilt by the contractor, but again he sent a subordinate who was inexperienced and lack the proper skills to install the back splash. The subordinate did not have the proper equipment to do the job correctly nor did he have a proper, experienced helper.  The work was a mess. There was also not enough material for the job to be done according to plans.  James was dismissive of my concerns and did not address them.
