"Thank you very much for your business!"
Team worked effeciently. Only delays in project were due to weather. Friendly staff. Kept site clean. Clayton, as team leader, communicated with me as project was under way.
Pool is beautiful, and we are excited to enjoy it for years to come.

"(removed member name) - we really enjoyed working with you on your pool remodeling project. Your backyard looks GREAT! Thank you for your business!"
The pool has been in now for about three months. It looks great. I noticed shortly after the job was complete that the installers left a lot of debris on the floor of the deep end. This concerns me because of potential holes from the pool vacuum rubbing over the gravel underneath the liner.
Bottom line: I picked Goin Swimmin because of their reputation. Based on the quality I observed, I would not employ them again. Their estimate was considerably higher than their competitor.
Update 9/2/2013: Today I spoke with the owner of Goin Swimmin pools. I was informed of a pressure test that had taken place prior to demolition taking place. This is new information to me and in fairness I am providing this update. I had some concern regarding the condition of my pool plumbing and this allays my concerns. He is also dispatching his crew to address the debris in the deep end of my pool. Given this new information and his responsiveness to this issue I am raising Goin Swimmin's grade in Quality, Responsiveness , and Professionalism. As for pricing, the owner did install a Tara liner, which is not his normal supplier, and did not charge an up charge. Price of liner install and pressure check 3500+400= 3900. Liner track replacement 625. Total cost 4525. Since I did state in initial review that Goin Swimmin was "considerably" higher I will quantify "considerably". Competitor price of liner install of Tara liner 20 mil and pressure check 3000+250 = 3250. 3250x20% (1.20)=3900 20 percent price difference.
The weekly services are a more expensive than I used to pay for maintenance of my pool in Southern California. But as no other pool company would call me back for an estimate (!!), I have no way to compare, and I am very satisfied that the service is getting done right and on time.
areas and somewhat brittle. Worse yet, late last summer a raccoon ate
large holes in one corner down to the water line seeking insects that
had gotten behind. I patched it OK, but knew I really was due for a new
liner. I am very knowledgeable on pool equipment and chemistry
including salt water pools - in fact as an engineer I have written
articles on these subjects. I have had salt water pools for over 30
years, starting in Houston. I have installed pumps, filters and salt
water systems for myself and friends, but I don't do liners. So after
searching the BBB, Angie's list and Goin' Swimmin's web site, I called
them.
Clayton Bechard, the owner, made the initial visit. I was
impressed with his pool knowledge and honest approach. He had a large
selection of liner samples. My wife chose a new pebble bottom design
with a 20 mil base and 27 mil walls. This new pattern had much improved
seaming technology as well, as Clayton pointed out. Clayton specified
foam in the corners behind the liner to make the corners more solid and
discourage another raccoon attack. My pool is a Lazy L, shape, not the
easiest to accurately measure, but Clayton's guys did an outstanding
job, generating CAD drawings to capture all the key dimensions for
custom manufacture of the liner, which took just over two weeks. I have
had four liners in this pool since 1982 and this is the best fit by
far.
Clayton's guys came on schedule, made the necessary
touch-up repairs to the pool base and installed the liner. After
filling the pool, they installed the necessary start-up chemicals. They
were courteous, worked hard and picked up stuff afterward.
My wife and I were very pleased with Goin' Swimmin'. We plan to have them come back in the fall to install a safety cover.
