Mr Plumber

I hired MR Plumber to do plumbing work. He asked us to remove a closet and cut holes in the floor of a bathroom that we were remodeling. I told him that we were not going to remove those areas of the bathroom and that we already removed the walls down to the studs in the area where we needed to do that. He said that he needed the closet removed and the wall behind the closet removed to the studs, and as time went on 3 holes in the floor, one of which was 4 feet across. He said that it would be much cheaper if he had those demolitions completed and he had open access. So I hired the carpenter to remove those areas as well, which will cost me greatly to replace. I received the bill for ONLY ROUGH plumbing one bathroom and part of the bathroom above it. These bathrooms share plumbing such as the drain line. It was nearly $5000!!!! YES FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to replace rough plumbing where it previously was. I was replacing the lines because they were old and some leaked, not because I was moving anything. The tub, toilet, and sink are in the same locations. ALSO, Mind you, this plumber did not actually connect a sink, tub, or toilet to a water or drain line. It is only replacing the rough plumbing. Additionally, I was the 'fill in' customer, the plumber showed up and worked and hour or two or so off and on over several days, instead of working for 2 days and being done so we could get on with the remodel. I will be hiring someone else to finish this job. No way I will hire him to do the kitchen or even to finish the bathroom by actually attaching the sinks, toilets, and tubs to the water supply and drains. No way will I ever use him again. He charged thousands more than what the bill should have been, based on my experience doing many remodels of houses over many years... By the way, he said he could not give me an estimate because he did not know how to do one until he 'got into it', but with the wall/closet removed and the floor it would keep the cost down. Honesty, trust, integrity, are character traits that define the types of people I choose to work with and hire. I gladly pay a fair wage for work, and enjoy hiring people to do work for me that I can trust to do the work correctly and honestly. I enjoy working with contractors, companies and individuals when I can just describe the problem and be able to trust that they will competently fix the problem and be honest in what needs to be done and what is optional and in the cost. I'll give a company a try, but if they do not measure up to my standards I will not hire them twice! And Mr. Plumber, well karma will catch ya

Talked to Bruce on the phone to arrange service call. Tracer came to resolve issue. He was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Worked very hard to clear a difficult clog. Excellent service!

Called and they performed a quick and efficient repair.

We had two homes on one ~850 ft water line and had a series of leaks in the line. The time had come to install two water lines - one for each home, as it was impossible to find the leak(s). To add a level of difficulty the line was buried under a long gravel drive. I contacted three plumbing companies, one of which was Bruce Dunkle with Mr Plumber. He came quickly and gave us a quote. After waiting on Plumber #2 to call back, the plumber from Oak Ridge said that he had to heavy a workload and couldn't handle our job. Plumber #3 was willing to come down but we had scheduling difficulties and after hearing a ballpark figure from #3, I decided to go with Mr. Plumber and I am glad I did. Mr. Plumber went right to work and Bruce stayed in contact with me - giving me updates and guidance on the construction process. He is so cheerful every time I called. He gave us an estimate on when we would have water and even after they ran into many unexpected difficulties at both homes, the Mr Plumber team powered through and got the job done on time. Even after the job was done, they took great care in answering questions to educate us. I am really so pleased with Mr Plumber that I would recommend them to everyone.

Excellent. Response was very prompt. Service call was prompt and work was done completely and professionally. Personal follow up on all work and follow up adjustments were done quickly , all at the agreed-upon pricing. Both Bruce and Tracer were professional and explained what work was called for, and why.

I called Mr. Plumber late in the afternoon and explained I had a leak at the water main. He said he would be available to look at it the following morning. He called early the next day and said he would be at my house within the hour


Upon arrival, the Provider quoted possible scenarios prior to starting work. After digging the line up, he showed me the issue and thoroughly explained how the repair would be performed. He also stated he would check the pressure  relief valve while it was accessible. The work was completed including adding a separate valve box for future access to the pressure relief valve which was found to be working satisfactory at the present time. The provider cleaned up the remains dirt and replaced the sod around the box. The total repair took about 4 hours.

Thru out the process, the provider was extremely courteous. I would definitely call Mr. Plumber from Rockwood, Tm. For any future plumbing issue.

Tracer, the plumber for Mr. Plumber, was on time, reasonably priced, finished job before expected time frame. Very professional and gave different options & styles. Extremely nice!

They were very informative always call when they would be coming . If for some reason a emergency happened they would call and let us know and apologized. would let us know when would be coming out . The men were very professional and wanted to make everything right. I will definitely always call them for all my house pluming needs. They are a an A#1 team.

Ideal Plumbing was very quick at the installation. They finally came {due to no fault of theirs} and put in the new starter. It was fast and easy. My problem was timing. I had lots to do before going out of town. So we played phone tag for a day and a half. The installer was very pleasant and acted as a go between because no one at Lowes where I bought the water heater really wanted to help. Also Ideal plumbing helped save me money on said parts. I will have to also say that I must remember to tell anyone that I am totally allergic to Cigarette smell. The service person did smell of smoke, but that was my fault not informing anyone. I was so happy they came and was done so quickly, I simply forgot. I will use this service again, I will just not be home. I will let my Husband sit with the service person, because of my allergy. I also do not think the price was overt, but I simply did not know it was so much.

I had a roofer who ripped me off for $10,000! That roof lasted 9 months before it leaked and the roofer was long gone. IDEAL had re piped my house and I knew they were trustworthy, licensed, bonded and insured! I found out they did roofs also, and they hurried to my rescues and re-roofed the faulty part at a very reasonable price. So now they are putting in a bathroom for me. I couldn't be happier with their workmanship and professionalism, plus they have the right credentials. They stand behind their work too. Very professional ,work done very quickly. Price little high only at home 50 minutes. Did not give estimate until arrived to do work.

They did excellent work. They are not highly expensive. They are not the least expensive either, but they do a really good job. I have no complaints about them. They are very professional.

I was without water for 6 days and they worked for several days, even on Christmas Eve in order to restore my water. I can't say enough about them or their service. The work was superb. Due to my disability, they took photos of the issue under my house, before and after, so I could understand what they did. They also sent a thank you card after the service; they are very caring people. I would highly recommend them.

Since this was a matter of finding a problem I did not get a price in advance. Ordinarily I would have asked for an estimate for fixing an identified problem.
