Deyoung Plumbing

He was asked to pick up the keys at the hardware store in Elk Park, NC to gain entrance to my mother's house. He completed the job of winterizing the house at the agreed rate of $65.00. I asked him prior in completing the work that he sent the bill to my sister in Florida who is the Power of Attorney for my mother. A few days later I called Deyoung and asked how everything went. He informed that everything was completed. Then, he tells me that now I owed him $85.00 because he had to drive back to the hardware store five minutes away to get all the keys to the house and also to process the bill to be sent to my sister (which I never heard that anyone has to pay for a bill to be mailed). I informed him that he was being unprofessional to the agreement of the bill and that he was gouging for more money. I even informed him that I would be willing to give him $5 or $10 additional for his troubles; but he made no comment. He even agreed earlier that the price would be $65.00 if I mailed the check directly to him without an invoice. I would not recommend him to anyone for future service and I will be looking for a different plumber. I told him to go ahead and bill by sister. I would hire an attorney; but it would cost me more than $20.00.
