Over priced for a $29 part and labor
Response from Appliance Repair Service
"We are sorry you had a bad experience with us. We work off of job code labor book of national averages for pricing in the area we service. We also use the manufacturers price for retail when it comes to parts. This ensures our prices are fair market value for the area we service. We hope you understand this and will allow us to serve you again in the future!"

The technician was punctual, professional and thorough. He talked to my husband, examined the washer and quickly ascertained the problem was bad bearings, as we suspected. He explained what that meant in terms of repairs: we would have to replace not only the bearings, but also the drum. He also explained what would happen if we did not address the problem, and he estimated the probable cost of repairs, which was nearly as much as a new machine. He advised us to replace the washer rather than repair it (that impressed us!). He also said that these newer washers simply don't last as long as the older kind, and to be sure and get the extended warranty if we got a new one. Overall, we were very impressed by his thoroughness, honesty and professionalism! If we ever need appliance repair in the future, we will DEFINITELY call this company.

Owner sent tech out on first working day. He asked questions, examined dryer indications. Took machine apart and discovered broken belt. Carrying small tablet was able to research and order replacement. Came back when part arrived, replaced, tested and turned working dryer back over to me.

This company was very rude from the beginning, from scheduling the first service call, to the last call (they came to my house a total of 5 times!!! for 1 problem). This was a simple replacement due to a recall, and from the moment the technician placed hands on my appliance, it didn't work. Time after time they returned to my home, and they fixed one problem, only to cause another one! Each call lasted approximately 2 hours, and they had no clue what they were doing. In addition, my appliance was damaged, and the technician told me he didn't have the claim paperwork with him for me to file a claim but would email it. Now he refuses claiming there was no damage......DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF THEY ARE ASSIGNED TO YOU FOR YOUR REPAIR!!!!!
Response from Appliance Repair Service
"We are sorry that you feel this way about our service. However, you state that the service cost you $500. We never once charged you for a call because Whirlpool gave us a warranty concession. We did not get to finish the job because you accused our technician of damaging your refrigerator. When our technician was in your home he took photographs of the areas you accused him of damaging and sent to Whirlpool. They confirmed that there was no damage done so that is why no claim was filed. We take pride in how we work and would be happy to service you again in the future!"

We have a Jenn-Air range that was in the house when we bought it seven years ago. The downdraft fan never worked but somehow it shorted out one evening, sending sparks and smoke up, forcing us to cut the power to it in the breaker box. We called Jenn-Air and found out the stove was made in 1991 and parts were likely unavailable, but since the burners and oven still seemed to work we hoped we could just get the fan bit repaired or disabled. Jenn-Air gave us the number for Appliance Repair as their Jenn-Air trained technician. Appliance Repair Service called back fairly promptly and we were able to schedule a service call within 24 hours. Their fee for diagnosis was $89, which was $10 more than Sears (the latter also applies the service call fee to any further labor, which Appliance Repair said they did not). Shortly before the serviceman was due to arrive at our house he called on the phone and spoke to my husband. He said that given the age of the range he was certain there were no parts available for it and it would not be fixable. We asked if he could just disable the fan, which shorted, and he said he could not do that either. So he never came out. But I really appreciated that he actually called and told us his diagnosis based on the information he had, thereby saving us $89. He could easily have come and given us the diagnosis and charged us the fee, only to tell us the same thing. The next day we had his diagnosis confirmed by a contractor friend who knew about Jenn-Airs. So while we are disappointed that we couldn't fix it and have to spend the money for a new range, the broken one is nearly 25 years old, and at least Appliance Repair Service saved us the fee for the diagnosis by being honest.

They were nice enough. They charge me $500 for something that I had not had to go to account in the couple of days and have something outfit for me. I could?ve pay $80 to get be part of myself of the $500 but I needed to make sure everything was working 100%. It was great but they charge me $150 on doing a job that was only done in more than 5 minutes. That was great. They were not too far off on appointment time, it was acceptable. Price is too pricey. They did the job pretty quickly but again it something that left complicated in the things that I work every day.

Appliance Repair Service people were courteous and professional. They did a very good job on my washing machine. I had checked out prices at other businesses and felt that Appliance Repair was quite average. They returned my phone calls immediately and as soon as the parts came in they called and set an appointment to come back out and put in the parts. I was very happy with their work.
