"We always give our customers upfront pricing. In this situation, you called us the night before to say you had someone look at your water heater that gave a free screening. At that time, you requested a quote over the phone which we could not give without understanding your specific situation. We never want our customers to be surprised with the cost which is why we always provide the cost upfront and before agreeing to do work. As a professional plumber, you are correct that we don’t purchase our water heaters from Lowes or Home Depot. We order them from where we know we can get replacement parts if needed. I understand that you checked Amazon for pricing parts but we also don’t order our plumbing supplies from Amazon. Initially, you declined the work saying your brother in law would take care of it. However, you called back the next day and said that he couldn’t do the job. After arriving and troubleshooting, I called you and gave you the price upfront of which you verbally agreed to proceed. I am disappointed that you were unhappy with the price and we encourage our customers to get multiple quotes. We take pride in our work and truly care about our customers. We only wish you the very best. We thank you for your trust over the years of doing business with you"
"We were unaware that this valued customer felt he overpaid for the work performed. We welcome the opportunity to review the material and labor cost directly with him. We did work for him again later in the year and no concerns were voiced. We stand by our work and encourage our customers to let us know whenever there is a concern. As a licensed and insured plumbing company, customer satisfaction is our priority. We provide a guarantee on materials and labor. While we can't compete with pricing of non licensed and non insured professions, we do set our pricing competitively. Customers be sure to talk openly and honestly with your service providers. We can't address something of which we are unaware."
