Excavation Major Grading or Resloping
Triple C was hired to do perform grading for drainage, spread topsoil and install a gravel driveway around my new garage ($8600). After the owner said he had completed the job, I had questioned him about the drainage as it looked like the driveway sloped right into the garage. He assured me that the water would just "fan out" and not be an issue. I spread grass seed and straw on the yard. Shortly after the job was completed it rained. I ended up with the top soil running down the hill into the fresh gravel and into the garage. The result was a mud slide that contaminated the 27 tons of gravel and left 6 inches of mud in my new garage. It also backed up into my other existing garage leaving 2 inches of mud. When contacted about the problem, I was by Mr. Close he would fix it. A mini excavator was brought in. The operator cut my waterline to my house and blamed me because it wasn't buried deep enough. He did fix it the waterline (after multiple attempts). He then left the excavator and told me I'd figure out how to run it. I was charged $2000 to learn to operate the mini excavator and fix the problem he caused. The owner of Triple C assured me he would help fix the issues and would get a water mitigation expert to assist with the drainage, no one ever came. All I got was text after text asking me if I was done. In small claims court, I had the lawyer and judge giggling with each other before the trial. Even after showing the judge a garage filled with mud with grass growing in it, the contaminated gravel and photos of the damage I was told by the judge, "too bad it rains in TN". I paid $7600 to a legitimate contractor to remove and dispose of 40 tons of contaminated gravel and washed out topsoil, properly grade and install new gravel in the new driveway. That contractor also cleaned the mud out of my garage AND installed a concrete apron. Avoid Triple C unless you like being lied to and paying for excavation work twice.

We cannot say enough about our positive experience with this company! We have zero complaints about their work. Our house is especially challenging, due to previous faulty construction work. None of that presented problems these folks couldn't deal with. When we removed the existing floor and walls in our kitchen, we found complete structural failure - frightening! Every recommendation they gave us we agreed to and couldn't be happier. They really looked out for us! We did not know them prior to hiring them but consider them friends now. We have complete respect for and trust in them. I truly hope we never need to renovate anything again, but, if we do, we won't call anyone else!! - T&J
