We highly recommend Steve Hicks to inspect your new home construction! Steve is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He provided us with a detailed report at the end of the day that included drone shots of the roof and area surrounding the house, multiple interior photos and videos, heat sensing images to highlight inadequate insulation that could result in loss of energy, and resources that provided additional information for each item he listed in the report. He spent several hours at the house and was very thorough. When he finished the inspection, he spent time with us to discuss his findings. On top of all of that, Steve is personable and a pleasure to do business with!

Friendly and Fast

I am from Massachusetts moving to Chattanooga. Needing to buy a home site unseen. I asked my relator who will give me the best overall picture of the home and who's the best. she Recommended Steve. Boy was that a homerun of a call. He and his wife were as professional as it comes. The reports has interactive pictures and videos. really second to none. The drone photos were so helpful. His format with pictures videos and how the information was conveyed was awesome. I recommended this service for and to anyone. It was also a great value for the money with the caliber of the reporting. .

I was advised that the house had recently passed a VA inspection and that VA inspections are stringent. Turns out they are not stringent or comprehensive. They check for obvious safety issues and thatâ s about it. The inspector will glance up at the roof and poke his head into the crawl space. Thankfully, I was compelled to look up what a VA loan inspection required and felt that I had been misled to believe that the house would pass any inspection. Lodestar did a thorough inspection from above the house, throughout the house and under the house. 118 items were inspected. I learned that had I accepted the VA inspection I would be stuck with damage resulting from poor construction, standing water in the crawl space and other critical problems that had to be addressed. I am well pleased with the inspection and relieved that the inspection revealed so many problems that no one would expect a house less than ten years old to have. Steve and his wife were so easy to work with! They fit us in as quickly as possible before the holidays and we are so appreciative! To say Steve was thorough with his inspection is an understatement. He went above and beyond what other inspectors would not have done or put detail into. Steve and his wife were very friendly and thorough in explaining their procedures. The report was very easy to read and well worth the price. Steve also is available to answer any questions and concerns as well as give advice on how to move forward with any needed repairs. Not everyone goes the extra mile but Steve certainly did. :)
