Came when arranged. Listened to job needs and took extra care. Fence is lovely. Reasonably priced based on other quotes I got. Gates are beautifully sturdy. Latches can be locked from either side. Workers and owner considerate and easy to deal with.

Holmes Construction and Fence was very responsive to my needs. They have completed 3 fence projects for me and I have been pleased with all of them. Their work was excellent and their customer service was great! They are fairly priced and easy to work with. They are my go to for fencing needs. I have recommended them to many others. I highly recommend them.

Hired Earl and his crew to install 200ft of privacy fence for our three (3) dogs to run. They did a FANTASTIC job!! The fence is heavy duty, sturdy, and looks great! This fence is built to last!! They have some great tricks to ensure that not only is the fence strong, but the gates are too! The hardware they installed on our three (3) gates looks classy and is easy to use. Earl and his crew also replaced a side entrance door. When the original door was installed it was not done properly. However, that didn’t stop these guys. They took the time to assess the issues and correct them. Now we have a great looking and secure door! I would recommend Earl and his crew for any of your home construction needs. They are a nice hard working construction crew!! They were even sweet to our dogs!! Our pups were out inspecting all of their work and each member of the crew would give each pup a scratch and a smile. Seriously, cannot say enough great things about this crew. We already have Earl lined up to pour a concrete patio and install French doors.

We were moving to Cleveland, TN and needed a fence to enclose our backyard. We have 2 dogs. Earl came to our rescue in a timely way. He gave us suggestions concerning the property lines and options on materials to use. We went with a 6 foot wooden fence that went great with our neighbors' existing fence. His team also built 2 beautiful gates that are sturdy and reliable! We highly recommend Holmes Fencing.

Highly recommend Earl Holmes, especially for fence work. The job that Earl and his team did for us went above and beyond our expectations! We requested a six foot privacy fence (mainly for our energetic puppy!), but was faced with a sloped yard which added some complexity. Earl Holmes evaluated our yard and came up with a plan that worked for us and did it affordably and without delay! I would recommend him if you want your fence done right by professionals who care about the integrity of their work.

As a new home owner in Chattanooga, I was looking for someone to build a fence. Earl Holmes was one of the few builders who actually returned my phone call and boy, I'm glad he did. Earl came over to measure my yard and listened while I explained what I wanted. Then, he built it exactly as I described. Earl, James and his crew know what they're doing. They worked quickly but were diligent and precise. The result was an awesome looking fence that looks like it will last longer than the house it surrounds. I have worked with Homes Construction & Fence Co. twice now, once for a wooden privacy fence, and most recently for a black chain-link fence. In both cases, the crew fast fast, did a great job, and were in and out in less than two days. I would highly recommend this service to anyone seeking a fencing pro.

Earl Holmes and his team (Tyler and Victor) installed 408 linear feet of black vinyl coated chain link fence in my back yard. He and his team did excellent work and paid attention to every detail. His price was reasonable and very competitive. The fence looks great. Earl is a unique and colorful personality who likes to talk and tell stories while he works, if you happen to be out observing the progress. They were all very friendly and helpful and made useful suggestions.

All went very well. Earl is a great guy to work with. He had a good crew that did the best job. Everything was very professional and we will have them do other projects for us.

Mr. Holmes gave me a quote of $14 per foot ($1232) and that is exactly what I paid. He arrived on time and completed the work in two days. He was very friendly as were all of his employees. They cleaning up and did not leave a trace of any debris in my yard. He also gave the address of a fence they installed near me. I will definitely use him if I need anything else done.

Earl did a great job on our privacy fence. He was open to our design input and very accommodating of some last minute obstacles. Fair price and good value.

Fantastic! Made additional trip back to add pavers to small gate openings because I have small dogs. Work was started and completed in 2 days and scheduling/quotes were fast and flexible with timing. Personable and no sub-contracting!!

We are very happy with Holmes Construction & Fence. We had a tree fall on our backyard chain link last month and asked Mr. Earl to come out and take a look. After talking with my husband about what we needed repaired and what our vision was for the yard, Mr. Earl gave us a quote for repairing the damage and expanding the fenced area of our yard. This work included removing an old wood fence, removing a chain link partition, clearing some land, removing some old cinder block grilling platforms, putting in new chain link on 3/4 of the yard, and putting in an attractive metal fence (including a custom size gate) to face the front of the property. Mr. Earl was able to tell us his team's availability at the time that he made the quote, which was soon due to some of his other booked work moving around. We were happy with the quote, which included an Angie's List discount, and agreed. Mr. Earl and his team arrived when they said that they would, were very professional, and did a great job. It looks about a thousand times better - a professionally planned and executed single continuous yard - and it is so much bigger. We love it but, most importantly, the dogs love it. Speaking of dogs, every team member was excellent with our dogs and were very good about making sure that the space was clean and safe for our dogs. This is a thing for us as the point of fencing our yard is so that our dogs can roam. If we ever need fence work done in the future, we will definitely use Holmes Construction & Fence Co.

PERFECT I f i could rate this craftsman and his people higher than an a A I would certainly do so. On a scale from 1-5, I would rate them at a 10-no questions asked. If you want fencing done at a professional, courteous, and prompt manner, this is the company for you. I would hire them again with out reservation.

Earl and crew took down our old wood picket fence and put up a new larger wooden privacy fence with three new gates. The new fence is well built and looks great. He came out quickly to get us an estimate and was able to start the project quickly. We had one gate we weren't happy with and Earl didn't hesitate to replace the gate at no extra charge. Project took longer than he thought due to weather and some of the crew being out, but the finished product looks great! Highly recommended.

The fence looks wonderful. It wasn’t exactly a straightforward project, but Earl Holmes and his crew handled it well and did an excellent job.

Outstanding! The wood fencing is well-built and visually appealing. The fence line is perfectly straight, which is surprising because of the variations of ground elevations covered by the fence. The chain link part of our fence looks better than we expected and blends in with the environment. Holmes and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They completed the job on time and thoroughly cleaned up the site after their work. Also, my kids adored Holmes and loved watching the construction of the fence. Our only regret is that we won't need his services again for fence work on this property! It's all fenced off now. I'd like to address one issue that I and others have had with Holmes; he can be difficult to reach BEFORE the job begins. Shortly before the job began and all through the job, his communications were clear, prompt, and professional. He runs the operation by himself, so I expected delays in responses from him while in the stage where we were getting estimates and quotes. Because I expected delays, I was not frustrated. Also, my timeline was flexible, so waiting on the best reviewed fence crew was not an issue for me. Think of it this way, when his team is working on your fence, all his attention is on the quality of the work and not on chasing down the next few jobs. That works for me! If you are looking for a crew to install a fence that looks good, is built to last, and won't break your budget, then Holmes is the operation for you!

I couldn't be happier. I tried two other companies and couldn't get anyone to respond to my calls, including the fence company I had used previously. It was a small job, and I can understand that a company would not want to tie up their equipment and manpower. Mr. Holmes did not let that stop him and responded to my request. The job was finished this morning and was very reasonably priced, especially since he was able to use some materials left over from another job. I won't use anyone else from now on.

The work was fantastic; we couldn't be more pleased. Mr. Holmes was very nice and accommodating and made many helpful suggestions on the initial estimate and walk through which we agreed that they were changes for the better. The price was very fair, his crew doing the work were professional, and the quality of the end result was exactly what we hoped for. They cleaned up everything afterwards. Mr. Holmes was also very accommodating of scheduling our install date as we had a lot of family coming in for a special event, and he made an effort to make sure we were taken care of before the day arrived. That's the kind of customer service that's hard to find these days, and we were glad that the work and quality of the fence matched the customer service. Our dog approves of his new territory to run. Earl was terrific! While he gave us an initial estimate back in June, he had to wait another 3 months before we were ready for him to order the materials. He let us know exactly delivery was and when his crew would arrive - both were on time and I didn't loose any time waiting around! The project was rather large and took a day and a half to complete. Earl and crew were completely professional and courteous. When the job was completed, the only sign they were there was a new fence! No lunch garbage, water bottles, or leftover materials strewn about like other contractors we've had recently. Holmes Fencing has been the easiest part of our pool contriction and I would hire again in a heartbeat!
