things went very well. The system was explained to me, and areas that I need to keep an eye out for were pointed out. I have used American Air since 2009 on three different homes. Always professional, on time, and fairly priced

They installed it in march of 2012. The installers were very professional. one was the son of the owner. As they were winding down the install. I ask if they did a follow up inspection or service at 6-12 months. The owners son said they did. The unit has preformed very well. Also came with a 10 year warranty from the maker of the unit. So around the 6 months time frame i am waiting for a call for the follow up that was verbally promised. Didn't happen, I figured it might have been they were busy as it was now fall and temps were changing and they get busy during that time. at the 12 months time frame I was still waiting for the call for the follow up. Never got the call. So I called them in March of 2013. Ask them for the follow up appt. Was scheduled then they rescheduled. The Tech that showed up was late. No call that he was running late. When he got to the home he was not prepared to do the service. He was told it was to get a service agreement. Now why would i get a service agreement when they hadn't even followed up on their own installation to check that things were going well. Tech then proceeded to argue with me about this and that they don't do follow ups on installations to check their workmanship. I told him that the Owners son who was one of the techs told me that they do. He called the office. Was told it would cost me 210 to have a service since i didn't have a service agreeement. I had left previous company due having a service contract that they never fulfilled. So i was not ready to sign up for a service agreeement till the company proved to me that they were reliable and consistent. So didn't get the follow up i was told they would do and that they completely didnt listen to what i had to say. Now at the time I was not a member of Angie's list. So all is well and I have used another company to service it. Then on 12/3/2015 American Air calls me wondering if they can service my unit. That they were going back through their records and realized they had not serviced me in over three years. Amazing took three years to find that out. I then told the lady that I was not happy with them. The caller was very pleasant and after explaining my issue with them never following up from the installation. She offered to review it and get with the service manager and call me back. I accepted but didn't expect them to call me back. She told me that it was not in my paperwork for the followup. I told her I was told by the owners son that they would follow up 6-12 months to check out the installation. But they could come out and service it now for 155. I explained to here that i would pay for it since it was promised to me as a not cost follow up. I thought that this family owned business would be better than the larger ones. But they are just as shady as the others out there. Over the last three years this Company has moved out of their home and into an office and have grown. I believe the growth is at the expense of good and honest and reliable business practices. It seems no one in this area seems to want to stand behind their work. I am pleased with the unit that was installed and American Air was the one that recommended the unit to me. They are very knowledgeable about units. But they don't seem to stand by their work.
