HARTLEY'S TREE & STUMP REMOVAL

I called Mr. Hartley right after the storm took down the tree limb that was on my shed.  That was a Friday night and he came Saturday morning to look at the tree limb.  He said he would come as soon as the weather made it possible-it was raining.  On Tuesday morning he called and was able to come and remove the limb on my shed without causing any further damage to the shed.  He is truly the best tree cutter in Nashville!  He was very responsive to the situation and concerned for the my safety and came as soon as possible.  I would highly recommend him to anyone needing tree work!

We started to cut a tree down in our yard and realized it was just too hard for our equipment so we called Mark and he came out within 2 hours as he stated he would. He said he could do the job and had to return to his place of business to get his equipment as he had been out doing estimates when we contacted him. He came back within an hour and cut down the one tree and grinded four stumps and was done by 530pm (he had arrived at approx 4:00-415). He was very professional and courteous. We would definetely hire him again and highly recommend him. He was also very reasonably priced.

I am completely pleased with the punctuality, quality of service, the price and the personalities of the workers. I had two immensely overgrown evergreen bushes... i mean like 12 feet tall, maybe more. They have been on the property since I purchased the house 13 yrs ago. They were separate bushes planted about 3 ft apart, but they had overgrown so much they looked like one Godzilla bush. It has been a bit of a thorn in my side for years.
My original plan was to saw it down leaving the stumps about 4 ft above ground, then I planned to chop and dig the roots around the base. The 4 ft tall stumps would give me leverage pulling the stumps out with my Ford F150 truck.
I gave it a serious effort chopping and digging the roots, but in time I realized that I had grossly underestimated the amount of work it was going to require to loosen things up to the point that my truck could have any positive effect wiggling these stumps out of the ground.
I checked Angie's List for a Stump Removal Service. I saw that Hartley's had the most ratings and the best ratings. I telephoned their business number and got an answering machine. No problem, I left a message and a short time later Hartley's returned my call. They were available to do the work and quot;after lunchand quot;. About 12:50 PM I heard a chainsaw running. I looked out front and there they were. They sawed the stumps close to the ground then used a stump grinder to finish the job. I had agreed up front to get rid of the waste products of the job on my own. They were thoughtful enough to saw the trunks into pieces that could reasonably be lifted for transport by myself without having to recruit assistance.
I got everything I hoped for from them at a price well below what I was expecting to have to pay. I'd definitely pick them again.

Mark arrived with his equipment and rapidly began removing trees we had decided on after our initial meeting. He trimmed and added a few more items but kept the price as stated on our first appointment. The job went fast and the clean up was amazing. Would definitely call him again and highly recommend his services.

He was excellent. He charged $100 for the service. He was very courteous, professional, and punctual. He arrived on time and did an excellent job, which he said he would do. I would recommend him because he is reliable and professional. I would use his services again in the future.

He does a wonderful job. He has very fair prices and is always on time. He is also very clean with cleaning things up. I will continue to use him.
