Entire story last year system wasn't cooling and I called Hiawassee Chase Air systems. It was just an odd experience the repairman told me to contact American Standard and purchase a warranty. Then gave me an estimate of over $500 to fix and repair plus the $250 he charged me to charge the unit. I have the written estimate that gives me credit for charge on the $500 repair estimate. I was baffled to say the least. Checked into extended warrenty with American Standard and decided it was not worth it. Total cost of repairs recommended was $1,125- $250 quick charge + $375 Extended Warranty + $505 repair estimate. We passed on the repair.
Fast forward to this yea. Noticed the a/c unit was not cooling properly. We had the same problem last year and chose not to call that repairman again. I checked the purchase papers on own home ( only two years old) and found the company that installed the unit and called them. He came out the same day. It took him an hour to find the leak. He called American Standard and the part was under warranty. The next afternoon it arrived and was installed. Quick and easy and $365. the parts were warrantied.

He is a very honest person and direct. He doesn't charge for little extras and tells me exactly what I need. I know his prices are good because my son-in law has a brother in law who sells and installs the unit. I got a good deal. It was my first time of using them. I have recommended him to several of my friends and one of my friends has rental houses and has had him install two units for them.
