SIGNATURE CONTRACTING LLC

The contract was signed on March 15, 2008, and begun within two weeks. When the brick was cut away, the saw that the carpenter was using would not work well, so supervisor brought him another one to finish with. The jarring of the brick by the bad saw loosened the grout in the remaining brick wall and caused the mortar to crack and some to fall out. Finally, about two feet of the bottom portion of the wall was removed and eventually replaced, filling it up to the existing brick which was already loose from broken mortar. The pad was not poured level with the existing floor so eventually had to be drilled and chiseled out. It was never completely (pictures on hand) finished, thus the ceramic had a raised portion on the right side where it butted up to the original ceramic. Underlayment that is used to install tile over wood floors was used on the concrete pad and under the tile, a foam rubber about 1/8 thick which I feel has made the ceramic grout to crack and come out and makes some of the tiles sound "hollow." We have a one year written warranty included in our contract and would like these problems addressed. We have e-mails of the punch list going back to May 30th, 2008, sent to Mike Weichold, with copies addressed to Larkin Groover and Steve Gaul. The last one was dated July 31st, since they did not respond by mail or telephone. Finally, sometime in September, we reached Mike and he said he would talk to Steve and get something going. In October, we again called and Mike said he would have Larking talk to us. We reached Larkin about two weeks ago and he said he would call us with an appointment time? We have been nice and considerate of the fact that they are very busy, but now we would like for them to return the favor and be considerate of us.
