Mike and his staff are very professional, provide service that far exceeds the charges.
my son bought a jeep with a bad transmission, got a quote for mike to replace with a used one my son had bought. mike did the work after getting used transmission in found it it had problems. we were informed of the problem, mike helped us with the return and subsequent replacement of defective transmission. next transmission arrives it too is defective. Mike offers to rebuild my sons original transmission for $150.00 than the quote giving for the replacement and all the labor already done, parts included. I figure he could have already charged double the quote just for what had already been done. Total cost with all the aggravation was only $750.00

My 2003 Ford F150 quad cab was having trouble when downshifting from overdrive when climbing hills. The downshift would be a very harsh clunk when it was made. He was short handed that morning due to an employee being absent and he was very busy trying to help a lady with a minivan and children who were waiting. I left the pickup with him with instructions to just let me know as I was fortunately not in a big hurry. That afternoon he called me and we went over the symptoms again. He said he had a 1998 F150 and had experienced the same problem with his. Evidently he solved his truck's problem with a solution provided by Ford. He said that he thought the problem was the same with mine and recommended putting some type of fluid in the torque converter. I picked up my truck that afternoon and Mr. Clausell refused to take any payment for his assistance on this. I have driven my truck about a month since his treatment and it no longer has the harsh downshift. I am still amazed that he took no payment for his effort. I will make it up to him, however.
I know this would not happen very often when a person has a transmission problem but I was amazed that he took a simple approach first before recommending any extensive repairs. You bet I will tell everyone I know who may have transmission problems and I will use his services in the future should I need them. Thanks again Mr. Clausell.

Recently I had a whining noise coming from the front (engine compartment) of my car. When I took the car for regular service, I asked my mechanic to check for the cause of the noise. After servicing the car, he said that the noise is coming from the automatic transmission and is due to its high mileage (180,000 miles). But, he said that the transmission is shifting well and advised me to continue to drive.
However, since the noise continued to bother me, I decided to take the car to Accountable Transmission Plus. I spoke to Patrick Hancock, and he said that he could check the transmission, and that there is no charge for checking it. So I took the car to get it checked. First, Patrick asked me to take him for a drive so that he could listen to the noise. After going for the drive, he also said that the transmission appears to shift well and that he would raise the car on a rack and try to locate the origin of the noise.
That afternoon, he called me and said that the whining noise is really coming from the power steering pump and not the automatic transmission. So, when I went to pick-up the car I offered to pay for his time. But he said that there is no charge for checking and refused to take any payment.
I had the power steering pump replaced at another auto service provider, and the whining noise went away.

They recommended that I replace my whole transmission and I did not think much of that so I went and had a second opinion and I ended up having a much less costly repair. I do not think that they charged me anything. It was a volkswagen that I was taking in to them and I do not think that they have a particular bit knowledge of that particular model of a car.

Transmission rebuilt within time period . We had to return for some minor adjustments, but car is running fine.

I have never dealt with a better transmission shop. I talked to five different companies before deciding on Accountable Transmission. All of the people I had contact were knowledgable and extremely responsive to my requests. My car was repaired on schedule and for the exact amount of the estimate. I believe you will not find a more honest and trustworthy place to have your transmission repaired. Thank you for great service!

Brought SUV in the late afternoon and problem was investigated and fixed by noon the next day.

First of all, I think the person who calls you to give you news about your transmission is probably one of the toughest jobs in the world. It's generally not good news and the costs are always more that you expect. We dealt with Patrick the whole time who may be the manager of the site. He was always very courteous and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He didn't try to paint a rosy picture of the best case scenario when they were diagnosing it to and quot;lure me inand quot; but he told me flat out that most likely it would need to be completely replaced and the worst case scenario would cost about 3K out the door. It took about 2 days for them to get to my car to diagnose it (he said they were very busy..could be a good thing), he called me with the bad news and said it was the worst case scenario and we would need to get a remanufactured transmission from Toyota. He said it could take up to a week to order it and install it but he called after a 3 days and said it was ready. So far (only a week) it seems to be working fine and I am happy with the service. The Remanufactured transmission from Toyota comes with a 12 month warranty through Toyota so that gives me some piece of mind. The cost of the parts where about 2K and the labor was $675 with the balance being taxes.

I went in asking for a transmission fluid change; and told them about a possible leak, and occasional very slight shifting problems. I was fully expecting to spend a few hundred dollars, and they knew it. But after driving the car and inspecting the transmission, they called and suggested I do nothing -- that a fluid change could loosen worn parts and cause them to wear faster, and that repairs wouldn't do any real good. They suggested it would be best for me to do nothing; they didn't even take any money for the inspection.

Both times the experience was great. The people I had contact with were very friendly and professional. The vehicles were ready when promised. Thier price was better than other places I checked.
I would not hesitate to recommend these guys for any transmission work. I have recommended them to several co-workers.

This place is great, I love it. They are so good about taking care of my car. I am kind of on a budget and they always take good care of me. They are all honest, generous, and caring. They are very nice and it is nice to know that I can depend on them. If they say something is wrong, I know something is wrong and if they say everything is ok, i know that I am ok.

They are very respectful to women and they are VERY honest. I have gone there and had them check things for me when I thought I might have a problem. One time my windshield washer pump wasn't working (during the winter). Two other places told me I would have to replace the pump (at no small price). I had been to Accountable Transmissions before to have my oil changed and remembered how nice they were, so I went there to see what they thought. They told me I needed to use a different windshield wiper fluid, that the orange fluid wouldn't freeze up like the blue that I had in there. They said they could put my car inside their building and when the blue fluid thawed out the pump would probably be fine. So I went and bought some of the orange fluid, took it to them, and they put it in for me. My pump worked fine and they didn't charge me a penny. They are always friendly and helpful, no matter how often I go there with anything that is wrong with my car. It is very important that women know they can go there and they will be helped in a respectful manner and not have to worry about being ripped off on price or for unnecessary work.

Their work is guaranteed and you can trust them. They won't do anything that doesn't need to be done. I have gone so many times telling them I have a noise but they tell me it isn't necessary to fix. They rotate the tires, check the windshield wiper blades, top off the fluids, and other things when they do an oil change. You don't need to make an appointment either.

Mike Clausell, owner of Accountable Transmissions Plus, gave us an estimate of $671 to fix the brakes and universal joints on "Old Louise". This is a very busy garage and when we said that we didn't have to have it back on the same day, we knew we were taking a chance that we wouldn't see the truck again for a week. Our truck was ready the next day and the invoice was $200 less than the estimate!!! The business itself is modern and cleaner than my garage at home. The service manager, Patrick, was very personable and accomadating. We are used to being taken advantage of when it comes to fixing a 20 year old truck. These people are honest and the work was done perfectly. No more "clunking" noise and the brakes work better than they have in years!!!
