Completed the project in a professional and timely manner. Guys worked hard and finished the job with exceptional quality.

So I will start off by saying Steve does not personally do the work. His employees are well qualified carpenters regardless. We hired SWS to install wall trim after a poor experience with an unqualified contractor. Steve came by the house and knew exactly what the job required. He was prompt at getting us a quote, and I was willing to pay a premium to have a good experience. They started off great. Time was taken to properly remove existing trim, surface protector was placed on our wood floors and trim was going up on day 2. They were flexible when it came to design and removed and replaced pieces that we did not like. I was annoyed by one of the men that stood on our porch and smoked OFTEN. When I got home from work the entire house smelled of smoke and the garage was even stronger. The same guy also did not like our doorbell camera and made every effort to cover it as soon as he got to the site each day (jacket, level, scaffolding). I was willing to overlook all of the unprofessional ism, I thought I was paying a premium to avoid, because the work looked good. On the final day they started filling and sanding the gaps. We recently bought this house and have all new furniture. No effort was made to hang plastic, cover the carper or any of the furniture. A layer of dust was on every surface in every room of our 5,000 SF house. Kids beds, new furniture, carpet, TVs...everything. While I think the work is acceptable, the professionalism is not. Not smoking in our garage and on our porch with the doors open, covering our doorbell camera, or failing to prep our house prior to sanding seems like a given for a premium contractor. This was not the case.

I am a stained glass artist and was looking for a craftsman to frame large pieces for installation in clients home. Mike was just what I was looking for. . professional, passion for his craft, attention to detail, cost effective and accomodating and willing to do what was necessary to assure a quality finish to this project for myself and the client. He delivered on all accounts! I'm thankful to Home Advisor for making it effortless to find such a competent craftsman!

The construction work was high quality and done quickly. Getting an estimate and hearing back from Steve was a little delayed but worth it for a good job.

SWS replaced a support post on my porch. They were quick did a great job. I will use them again for more projects.

Steve with SWS provided a very competitive price for the work I needed to be done but I initially went with a contractor I have used previously. After four no shows, I cancelled that contractor and called Steve and he honored the original quote. He had his crew there in two days and they completed their work that day. I needed the deck repaired and then stained. The staining will happen next week. I cannot say just how impressed I was with both the quality of work, being there when he said he would and a better price than the other contractor. I highly recommend SWS.

I had timely reply to my initial request for a bid and the owner was good about scheduling a time to give a free estimate around my schedule. The only draw back was he took more than a week to provide the actual estimate, so I hired someone else who priced a comparable price...the only reason I was able to use SWS was the other did not produce a quality of work suitable in other types of services so I cancelled the trimwork. Once I agreed to use SWS they were quick to schedule the work and guaranteed my satisfaction prior to payment. The materials were provided by me and the work was done with professionalism and met my high standards.

Steve was very quick to contact me, and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was promp, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

Steve, is a diligent, focused craftsman. He was on time and within budget for project. I will consider him for other home projects in the future.

He did a fantastic job on my fence repair and on creating a door to replace a panel into a crawlspace. He was professional, timely and left the work area clean. Would recommend.

Took the time necessary to ensure that the railing was installed perfectly and in a timely fashion. No pretense just a good old fashioned work ethic. Highly recommended and I will use again.
