let me star by saying i know absolutely nothing about plumbing..water heaters..or anything that goes with it. However i am a homeowner, so it was inevitable that i was going to learn at some point. I called several companies around town and wasn’t given the customer service or patience i recieved from Marcia at Steakley plumbing. She was respectful and answered ALL of my crazy/weird questions that i had without making me feel like a complete idiot. After talking to Marcia she was able to get me on the schedule that day. She knew i was at work that day so she personally said she would reach out when the crew was on their way to resolve my issues. she gave me a 30 min heads up call when they were headed my way…and they let legit showed up in 30 mins! the guys were clean, neat, and organized. they were very honest and upfront about my issues and the cost to repair vs. replacement. all that to say, i would definitely recommend steakley plumbing. from start to finish this company was extremely professional, informative, and respectful of my time and money.

I called Steakley Plumbing out for a leaking kitchen faucet. They got to me within the next day of calling and the women in the office were so nice and helpful. The technician that showed up was extremely professional and proficient! Definitely will be calling them in the future for any of my plumbing needs.

They came after hours and provided immediate professional service. They were just very thorough and knowledgeable. They have very reasonable rates considering that they have to come after hours and it was freezing cold. I have used them for a long time and I feel that they are very reasonable and reputable.

We have always liked this company's service and reliability. I never felt like they were the cheapest plumber in town but always professional and timely and we felt it was worth it to pay a bit more. This time we allowed them to enter our garage while we were not home because we have such confidence in them. Since the work was going to be performed while we were not home we provided them with several contact phone numbers so they could give us an update on what they found and we could decide how we wanted to proceed. (Eternal optimists that it would still be fixable!) Instead of communicating with us, they replaced the water heater without our consent and we were given no information up front about price or options. While I appreciate the fact that we were never without hot water, I do not appreciate the fact that it was done without our consent. I also do not question whether or not it could be repaired. I was not surprised that it was broken beyond repair.

Over the years, I have had lots of work done by Jack Steakley Plumbing. They replaced all the interior lines in my 73 year old house. They replaced the clay sewer line. After the flood, they came after hours and fixed my water heater.
They're always professional, prompt and fair. Dave, who usually ends up working on my house, is a really nice guy. It's usually a crisis when I call them- there's no water pressure, the sewer is backing up, the pipes have frozen, but they fix it all and make it all better!

Router out kitchen sink and laundry line. Reviewed performance of new
HE washer with current household plumbing and made recommendations to
have the washer work (and it does). Examined the leak that was
occurring with the shower and making a mess in the garage. It was from a
bad shower head that was leaking and coming out the overflow. I
replaced the shower head. The bathroom sink facets were examined and
determined they need to be replaced.

The company was very prompt and professional.

This company was quoted only slightly lower than other companies so we were expecting quality work. Between the slowness, smoke breaks, and errors that had to be corrected as they went, plus having to bring them back, it wasn't worth it.
They started by arriving an hour late, which we let go because the contractor was busy building the shower enclosure, but they complained because they only had the valve assemblies to go by, and didn't want to pre-cut the holes for the bath valves. So we rescheduled for after we had tiled the tub.
When they came back out, they were again half an hour late, and when I came back in after they cut the holes in the custom tub insert that had already been tiled and grouted, they cut them offset to the left almost half an inch from where the tile lines lay, claiming it was and quot;centeredand quot; on the whole tub space. Really? Someone isn't going to notice half an inch from 3 feet left and right, but they WILL notice the valves not being centered on the grout line that the valve is right on top of.
So we made them re-center the cuts, knowing the valve assemblies would just barely cover the holes. Even then, when we saw the final product, we realized the left valve is 1/4 of an inch closer to the tub spout than the right valve. And now the tub is in and it's impossible to fix. A $10,000+ custom bathroom job and shoddy work throws it off if you look at it close-up. Awesome. Then we found out they had swapped the hot and cold lines to the valves (right was hot, left was cold). So we had to have them back out and swap the lines back, but because of the valve positioned behind the tub (which is where we wanted it), they can't fix the valve problem without pulling the tub back out and since it's a jacuzzi tub and it's mudded to the base properly, you'd probably break the tub getting it back out.
So, in short, unless you're prepared to babysit on top of the plumbers while they work and make sure they do the job properly, I'd get someone else. Will it get done? Sure. Will it get done PERFECTLY? It didn't here.

They were quick and billed me so I did not have to worry about paying them on the spot. They are efficient and I think they are a tad bit on the pricey side but they did do the work.

Outside water leak. Company responded within a couple hours. Assessment of water leak made. I used an Angie's list coupon to pay for the service call.

They were great at the beginning in getting quotes and costs to us in a reasonable time (Fergusons took ages ...), but once the order was placed they quickly turned into a disaster and made us regret the decision to use them. On several occasions they did not deliver things when they said they would - putting the project behind - they sent the wrong item more than once - again putting us behind as we had to wait for the correct piece to come in. We constatly had to chase them to find out where things were and why things were not being delivered when they said they would be. A couple of things that we ordered were not as expected (the wood finish did not match among pieces from the same set) and so we returned them, yet we were charged hefty restocking fees. It was not our fault we could not use the pieces. This company has zero customer service and I would never use them again, and certainly not a for a large job.

Overall, the experience was fine. The plumber got his job done; it took a little longer than I thought it should have but everything that he installed was done properly. He was very nice and courteous. I personally think that all plumbing is expensive. Everything went smoothly and I would recommend his plumbing services.

I think that he is very reliable and I like the people who work for them they are always nice and courteous and I feel like they know what they are doing. Their prices are not outlandish. He has a good reputation.

The plumbing trim-out seemed adequate, although the toilet installs had to be completely re-cut by the trim out plumber, the downstairs toilet was too close to the wall so we had to order a special toilet to accommodate the 10" rough in and the showers all had the wrong install trim colors. The trim out bid was almost 50% over inflated. My wife and ended up purchasing all our trim out pieces online, saving 40%, and that with top of the line fixtures. We upgraded the entire system, including top of the line steam showers and tankless water heaters, and still spent less than Steakley was trying to bill us. We suspect he had made a deal with our builder to overcharge us by 50% as a spiff for waiting until closing to get paid, when the builder went under. He attempted to charge us what he was charging the builder. Perhaps because we had just moved with Nissan, he suspected we would be an easy target for the L.A. Discount. Jack is sketchy although his sales people are very nice.
