Smokey Mountain Tops

The installation and quality of the product was perfect but where they fell down was in selling me the product. We specifically asked if the Quartz counter top was less expensive than Granite. They told us that it was. They then showed us the Quartz products on the wall. We picked out one and they said that it was "one of the most popular". We later found out from our builder that the one we picked out was the most expensive one they had and was over budget. The sales person did not tell us that at all while we were looking and refused to budge after the sale. We will not use them again on our master bath or other two bathrooms.

Approx 3 months after my countertops were installed, one side developed a crack approx 10" deep in one of the corners. Within one day of my call to the office, the GM, Mike McGrady was at my house to look at countertop and determine next steps. I was assured that they stand behind their work and product. Long story short, SMT replaced my countertops at no additional cost . Their technicians were polite, experienced and took pride in the product they were installing and the company they worked for. I would not hesitate to do business with this team again!

They helped me find some scrap quarts that I liked that would accommodate my kitchen so the price was really great.  They measured my kitchen with a laser and then got them installed.  The whole process took about 2-3 weeks.  They were professional and friendly.  Love my new countertops!!The only negative thing I have to say is they didn't tell me that they wouldn't be reattaching my kitchen sink plumbing. So I couldn't use my sink until I got a plumber to the house.

Service performed in a very timely manner. Between template to final installation was less than a week. We were very impressed with the final product.

Smokey Mountains was excellent. Well, we went up there and picked it out and everything was fine. They installed it in a timely manner when you needed them to and we had no problems with them. It was just a good all around experience. The finished countertops was great.

From our first visit to their showroom through selection, onsite measurements and installation they were most helpful and professional--excellent to work with!  They even went the extra mile to make a difficult spot work to perfection. Outstanding customer service -- their entire staff could not have been nicer or more helpful!

We visited their factory, toured, and then they came out and measured our kitchen. We picked out granite at the supplier they recommended. This was coordinated with the tile layers and the carpenter, so a tight schedule was involved. They installed the counters on the assigned date including a sink we had pre-purchased and they used it to cut the hole. They did a beautiful job of placing the stone grain and installing. We are delighted with our new kitchen.

They were the only authorized dealer for Cambria, and I wanted to use someone who was authorized, and that is why I chose them. My wife said it was great, and I wasn't there for any of the work. She said you can't even feel or see the seems. Their showroom was really cool. They had large samples of actual applications. They had tables set up with the samples done with different corners. They had every possible option that you could get done to them. They had examples there. It was a really nice place to go. It was great, you get to see so many different versions of sinks, and how it can be done, it was endless. It was really cool.

I spoke with John on 3/14 and sent basic dimensions that afternoon.  My budget was not very flexible and he immediately told me that I would spend less per sq. foot for scrap quartz than any other new material...even Corian or Formica.  I met John at the warehouse on 3/16 and found that they had granite scraps as well, which he said would cost the same as quartz.  I knew exactly what I wanted but they didn't have enough of it in scraps so I went with a different color scheme.  I didn't like feeling pushed into getting quartz but it's a very strong material and I could only spend so much.  I called John on 3/19 because I hadn't heard from him.  We scheduled the measuring to be done on 3/21 from 3 to 3:30. They got to my home at 3 PM and didn't leave until 4:50!  On 3/23 I spoke with Ken to schedule the installation and requested a Saturday.  He said that since the job is so cheap, they couldn't do that

...REALLY!?  We scheduled it for 4/9 (used some vacation time) at 1 PM.  The day of install, I moved it to 2 PM and they called back and moved it to 11:45 AM...they arrived early.  I knew the breakfast bar was going to need supports so I purchased some that I thought would work but was told I had to install them myself.  They had to install a couple, however, to support the countertop during installation.  While removing the old countertops, they damaged a 1"x2" area of the kitchen wall...never offered to fix it.  Probably the most surprising thing was that they never said a word about not installing the sink and hooking up the plumbing underneath.  I had to spend an extra $140 to have someone seal around the sink and hook everything back up.  That was very disappointing!  Not only the extra cost but I couldn't use my sink for two day. 
All in all, I really love my new countertops, but I wouldn't rate their customer service very high.

They exceeded my expectations for the installation. The countertops were precisely cut to our imperfect walls. The seam and color match was so good that you would not know it was there unless you were looking for it. The cost was $600 more than one company and $1000 less than another company. The least expensive company had an F rating on another website, so we eliminated them from consideration. Smokey Mountain Tops has my highest recommendation.

We spent maybe $2400 on that service.  We did not like that they could not laser measure our tub deck, they laser measured the counter tops and vanity tops and they fit perfectly.  For whatever the reasons were that they could not use the same technique with the tub deck when they had it done.  The measurements were not as good as they could have been or should have been.  As a result we have a little chunk of our tub deck that has a fill piece in it.  They did not meet the same standards and did not redo it.  They came out and made it okay, but they weren’t as good as the countertops.  We give them all A’s except for the end result because the only complaint we had was the fact that the tub deck was not properly measured and what we got was a got was the best that we could have hoped to get in the surface deck, without them redoing it because we felt that it wasn’t a reasonable option. 

We were referred to this company by our neighgors who had a great experience.  Once we selected the granite we wanted, we shopped for the best price and Smokey Mt. Tops was best by far.  Even one firm with a low price guarantee couldn't match their price.  They measured, and installed the countertops two weeks later.  They were professional, cleaned up after the work very carefuly, and I would highly recommend them.

After becoming somewhat put out with the service (or lack thereof ) from the Big Box home improvement stores, I decided to do some homework on my own regarding counter top options. This is when I stumbled upon Smokey Mountain Tops. I sent a brief email inquiry about their services and got an immediate response from Mike McGrady. Mike was more than helpful with all of my requests... and I had a few. He never seemed to be put out or frustrated with my indecisiveness. He always took the time with me that I needed. We did finally decide on a color and material. Immediately after deciding on this, Chris came to the house to do the template. Very courteous and professional. Took time to answer yet even more questions and explained what he was doing every step of the way. 3 weeks later the counter tops were ready and installed. The two gentlemen who performed the installation, Jose and Martin, were also polite, professional, and friendly. Again... Taking time to make sure everything was just to my satisfaction. I could not give this company a stronger recommendation!!! If you need new countertops, call these guys FIRST. You will not be disappointed.
