Good job. Water heater was repaired, but the price was too high. I would only hire again if it was an emergency.

The plumber came out within the hour and made the repairs within about 30 minutes. He was very professional and courteous.

I called Roto-Rooter to come check out our slow-draining bathtub. They told us they couldn't give us an estimate over the phone, but we figured how much could it be? The serviceman showed up, shut the bathroom door behind him (I've never seen a plumber do that), and ran his wetvac for about 10 or 15 minutes. The rest of his call was spent sitting in his truck doing who only knows what only to come back and charge us $296.95! To run a wetvac for a few minutes! My husband and I were floored and tried to correct the problem only to discover that Roto-rooter charges a flat fee of $265 plus a shop fee of $31.95. Yet they couldn't give an estimate. Unbelievable. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

My major problem with them was the scheduling. They did not match the price of another place. One the other hand, they did offer a six months same as cash deal, unfortunately we didn't have the funds for that. They had to come back and reinstall the unit over again without any argument.

They identified the problems as (1) a broken pipeline joint leading out of the overflow tank AND (2) an unsupported pump which had dislodged from its supports. Within 48 hours, once necessary equipment was available, the area was excavated, repairs made, and holes in the yard were covered. All is working as intended and the "repairs" to the yard were done carefully. I'm very pleased.

Chad was awesome! He worked with little complaint and found a solution to every problem that was encountered and had a great attitude about it. Price was a bit high from other quotes but it was well worth it. It was a late night job, you get what you pay for. He went above and beyond to fix the problem.

Job was fine and response great- but they charge well for it.

Called Saturday Morning and was told it would be around 2-4pm. Received a call around 345pm and was told it would not be until 6-730pm before someone would arrive. When tech arrived showed him where clean outs were located. He tried unsuccessfully to put camera into clean out going back to house. He then went up close to house and fed small snake into drain. Was unsuccessful in clearing drain. Put large snake into drain and stated he had enough line to go clear to city line. I told him I would go and watch for it to come out on other end. I could hear the snake coming through but it stopped before coming all the way through. I then went to where tech was at and he said he felt something on end of the snake. It appeared to be some sort of root. I  stated I did not see the snake go all the way through. He then ran a camera into the line and pushed it along side the snake as it went. He said you could see some sort of blockage. He pulled the camera out. He was pulling it out and appeared to be counting off the length in 12 inch intervals. I said something to this effect and he said no that the counter on the screen would tell him how far out his camera had went. I then asked him if he could clean out the line again. He ran the line back out but did not retrieve any more "root". He said there was a break in the main sewer line and said it looked like someone had thrown a large rock onto the line and broke it. He said he could show me where it was located. He stretched the camera cord out onto the ground and said to me " here is where the break should be located. He told me it would cost around 1800.00 for them to repair the line. I told him I did not have that  much money at this time.  He then  told me how to repair the line. I got up the next morning and started digging and found the line. I continued in the area. I could not find a break in the line. I dug back towards the house and did not find a break. I then dug another 4 feet toward the city line and did not find a break. In all I exposed 19 feet of line without finding a break. The tech had told me before he left Sat. for me to call him if I had any questions. I tried calling him twice and left voice mall. I then called the number and reached the owner Danny. I told Danny what had happened and I could not find any break. He then told me the tech had told me his camera was broke. I said no he did not. I stated I had told the tech so your counting off the number of feet as your pulling the camera out and he said no this tells me how far out I am pointing at the screen read out. I told him I felt slighted in that I was told where the break was and it wasn't there. He then told me it would be another 315.00 for them to come back out to show me where the break was and that I had already received a discount due to the camera not working. I stated no the tech had told me the reason for the discount was due to the fact he was late past the promised time to be there. 2-4pm and he showed up at 730pm. I talked back and forth with Danny the owner and was getting no where. I then ended our conversation. I then called a local company who does similar work for another 68.50 They told me they would not dig anymore line up and would simply back fill the trench I had dug. I was also assured that it would be less then 500.00 for them to fix any break or less if anything would come up in the future. But for now they said they would not do anything to the line as I could not find any break .

I had a backup from the toilet into the bathtub. The technician kept me up to date on when they would arrive, the cost upfront for expected services, and reported throughout the effort. I have used them before, and will continue to do so when I have plumbing problems.

I contacted Roto Rooter due to that they had provided service to the same residence within 30 days at my elderly mother's residence in VA. My brother was there exactly 30 days prior with them for the same issue. Roto said "You are outside of the 30 day service, and, you have to request 30 day warranty.... I was uncomfortable with the technicians complaining about working on Sunday. After listening to it for too long, I let them know they could have done their work sooner, as I had been calling since Friday.
Best advice, "Call anyone else"!!!

This was quickly repaired and done the correct way. Throughout the repair the technician kept me informed of the situation and potential price and if possible, options. While here he found a leak in the water main at the street and waited while I called the city. Plumbing repairs can be expensive, but I've come to know that Roto Rooter does it right or they return to make it right.

I bought a part and completed the repair and it worked out fine.

I was so impressed by my Roto-Rooter plumbers! They responded to my call the same day and were upfront about the cost and scope of the project. I needed to have an old toilet completely overhauled, new fixtures put into my shower, and the hot water fixed on a sink. My house was old and they had to deal with bugs and broken pipes and all kinds of issues, but got the job done quickly and were super nice. I can't recommend them enough; definitely ask for Robert or Sandor if you call. My service date was 9/5/14, and I live in the East Nashville area.

The service technician was very professional and courteous.  He gave me an estimate on unclogging the french drain as well as an estimate on redoing it.  He also looked around the house at other plumbing and gave recommendations.  I did not use them in the end because it was not an affordable option, but if I have any future problems I will give them an opportunity to bid on the repairs.

I told them everything that I wanted them to do over the phone and they came out and once they showed up, they told me they did not do that type of work and I needed to call the septic company.

This service call went very poorly.
1. Instead of replacing the handle and stopping there, they decided to play with the rest of the toilet components.  I was not in the bathroom with them.  They apparently adjusted the water cut-off, made the water-flow pound loudly (air in pipes), and then came out to tell me that meant I needed a new fill valve.  I told him it was a fairly new fill valve, the toilet was working perfectly, and the noise was air in the pipes and not from the fill valve.  He said nothing and returned to the bathroom.
2. They replaced the flapper, which was also almost new, and told me that as they walked out the door.  I was not given an option on that.  See picture of the one they removed - it's FINE!!
3. They left no paperwork, business card, work order.  I have no idea who they were.  They were driving a Roto Rooter truck.
4. The handle they replaced wasn't even installed correctly, and now needs to be removed and adjusted!!  They installed it at an angle so the lid of the toilet prevents the handle from returning to its "rest" position.  The flapper, then, can't seal and the toilet keeps running.  The toilet works great as long as I don't put the lid back on the tank.  See pictures!!
5. They left the house with the toilet still running!!  It would not shut off until I removed the toilet lid and sealed the flapper by reaching into the tank.  I also had to readjust the cut-off valve to regulate the water pressure to the commode. The plumbers left the toilet running :-o
 
6. I called the next day to tell management about the experience and was told "Danny" was gone for several days, but that he'd call me back Monday or Tuesday.  He didn't, so I called today (Wednesday) and spoke with him.  He did not accept responsibility for what had happened.   Regarding their fill-valve recommendation, he said he wasn't there so can't be sure what they found and did, and said the plumbers did not charge me.  He said they do that kind of call at no charge!!  I was speechless, since Roto Rooter is not known for making free plumbing calls.  It certainly was an effective way to remove their responsibility for the poor work.  He offered to send a plumber, but I cancelled that call since, at this point, I just don't trust their work.
With all that said, I will say that I have had 2 EXCELLENT experiences with Roto Rooter - a massive septic tank conversion to city sewerage, and a sink leak.  I don't fault the company if they have a couple of plumbers who may not do good work and may try to inflate their bill with unnecessary work.  I do fault any company that doesn't listen to their customer and take responsibility for problems.  Management stood by these workers, and questioned my word.  That is not acceptable.  I would not even be writing this review if I had been given an apology, if he had taken responsibility for his employee's work. 
Yes, I'm looking for a new plumber. 

On the day that I moved into my new house, I discovered a backed-up bath tub and a slow-draining kitchen sink. The representative arrived within 20 minutes of my initial call and was able to take of problem immediately. He was very patient and kind. The price is high, but at that point, I just needed the situation resolved immediately. I definitely would recommend Roto-Rooter for emergencies.

The contractors were very knowledable. They were friendly and easy to work with.

. BEFORE HE SAW OUR POWDER ROOM, HIS CHARGED WAS $206.00. I AM DISABLED AND I AM NOT ABLE TO DO MUCH. I ASKED HIM ABOUT DOING MORE WITH THE DRAIN SNAKE AND HE TOLD ME THAT IF HE USED THE OTHER ONE OR IF HE DID ANYMORE THAT IT WOULD COST US HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MORE. HE WAS HERE FOR A TOTAL TIME OF 3 MINUTES AND CHARGED US A WHOOPING $206.00. WOW!!! THAT IS PRETTY GOOD FOR 3 MINUTES OF WORK. AFTER HE LEFT,I TOOK OUR PLUNGER AND USED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES AND WE GOT MUCH BETTER FLUSHING. IT STILL NEEDS TO BE SNAKED OUT TO TOTAL GIVE US A GOOD FLUSH. WE WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE HANDICAP. SHAME ON YOU!!!!   AND I NEVER DID GET TO RECEIVE MY ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT!!!!!!

They showed up on time. They did the work that was asked. There was nothing especially good or bad; it was just the kind that I had expected.
