Terrible experience. Ended up costing three times as much as quoted and took six months longer than quoted. Even after paying the extra money and waiting the extra time, they just disappeared into thin air with a lot of work unfinished. Their trash was still all over the house. The guys were nice enough, but quality of work was very bad, and we had issues with dishonesty and sexual harassment on several occasions. They ran over our lamppost in the front yard, installed our high-end appliances incorrectly (which rendered the warranties void), and lost a piece of our faucet that they never replaced. They were inconsiderate of our time and property, and I would warn anyone to steer clear of this company. I understand that any construction project is going to take longer and cost more than expected, but this was over the top. I'd chalk it up to bad management- Rob isn't known for handling money well, but that shouldn't have become our problem.

Elkins Construction used subcontractors. We were misled. Elkins did not supervise the subcontractors and much of the work was shoddy. Two examples are they spray-painted my brand new Audi by accident and the work in the basement was not done right.
