It went well. The workers were very pleasant and we are very satisfied.

The installation took over 3 weeks with the estimate being "max of 2 weeks".  The installer broke a $450 internal component that did not demonstrate its failure until the higher temperatures.  This comes from the installer heating up the copper without removing a specific gauge.  In essence the installer did not understand this technology and instead of calling in support he just went ahead and broke it to the best of his ability.  When the president of the company came out for a failed codes inspection he just praised the work as being outstanding.  Even though I am under "warranty" this experience has been so bad I can't afford to have these idiots back on my property.

They may have been "good" 20 years ago, but they are unqualified to be touching modern systems.

The duct work looks ok, but it completely missed the point.  When installing new duct work the tech has freedom to design it anyway they want to meet the needs.  This guy has one way of doing it and measuring was not part of his plan.  He placed the flexible duct directly in the path of doors so that they wouldn't open all the way.  If it wasn't for a friend of mine showing up, this wouldn't have been corrected.  The installed a "power venter" because the unit isn't 90% rated (which is the correct action) but when he installed it he put the load bearing line on a loop connected to two weak rivets instead of along the designed load bearing section.  Resulted in one of the rivets popping out before my brother (who happened to visit this past week) noticed it wasn't hanging right and helped me fix it.  Perhaps the worst was three weeks of being called "Bubba" from somebody that was too arrogant to call for help when he was in over his head.

I am ashamed I let them in my house this long and wish I understood the industry better to have know how and when to fire him.  I am not out an additional $600 to repair their mistakes.

My advice: Never call this company for anything, they are hopelessly incompetent and will cost much more than they say.

They did a really good job installing the unit and they were very good about coming back to follow-up with me to make sure that the unit was working correctly. They also provided very good service.
