Orkin Pest Control

In November of 2022 I had a service appointment scheduled. The technician canceled without any notice. That was the second year in a row that happened. I asked for a $50 credit for my inconvenience. The technician agreed yet I never saw the credit on my account. I contacted the local office by email three times. First I followed up with a customer service agent I had previously corresponded with. Then to the general manager's email address. And a third time through the "Get A Quote" form on the website. No one responded to me. It is now April 2023 and I have no resolution. I would change to a different company, but unfortunately, I have to pay Orkin $250/ year to maintain my warranty with them. I regret using them. Their customer service is terrible.

They?re fine, too.

I recently switched pest control companies to Orkin. I set up an "automatic convenience payment" system (their words, not mine) for service. The deal is that they come 6 times (every other month) and I pay a monthly fee. They came out for the initial inspection and service, and said if the issue I had didn't resolve, they would come back (part of the service I was paying for) and spray again. I called them about 10 days later and said the issue hadn't resolved. Because there are regulations preventing them from spraying too many times back to back, they said they could come back exactly 2 weeks later but they asked that I call them the day before to remind them (???). I was a little surprised by that. I called them as requested and they came back. However, that's the last time I saw them. No one has called me to schedule service or let me know they are coming for service since the guy was at my house in June. It is now almost October and I have been charged four times, although the paperwork says my monthly payment plan would start in August. Note, I also paid double in June for the original service.

So, I called them recently and they were not eager to help me resolve the issue. The explanation they gave me was that the service man did indeed come out to the house in August (which would have been for my normal every other month service). They have his work order that documents he was at my house and sprayed the perimeter. I was out of the country that week and no one called me to tell me he was coming, so he couldn't access the interior of my home to provide the other part of my paid service. He also didn't leave any type of invoice or service note (my last pest control company left a hang tag/bag on the front door that was like 'sorry we missed you' and noted that if I wanted them to return to spray the interior, I should just give them a call - they also sent an email confirmation immediately after the service AND they always called before they came- Orkin did none of those things).

I spoke to the local Orkin manager, Chuck. He offered to send someone to my house on the spot to spray the interior, despite me already mentioning that I was at work and couldn't schedule a service for the same day. Essentially, I have paid for 5 months of service but only received full service once and I told him that. Yet, he couldn't help me because he didn't have access to the billing information while we were on the phone (despite being a manager...). He said he would call me back and he did, stating that he was only allowed to reimburse me for one payment, and that contacting people above him in the company would be inefficient as they would just direct me back to him. 

Ultimately, this branch of Orkin is very disorganized and I do not recommend using them. They are not especially helpful in dealing with customer service concerns, and I have paid so much for them to perform their services only once. You are better off looking somewhere else for a pest control company that will not overcharge you, because I have now spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue to no avail and I am not sure I will ever get my money back. I still have many bug problems that could have been taken care of by now with another, more cost effective company.

They are punctual, thorough, and they're pretty good.

They did an excellent, excellent job. I would use them again, in fact I have used them for other services.

I chose them randomly as my service provider. I would use them again in the future.

The guy who comes out is reliable, friendly and easy to work with. I pay them $35 per quarter.

It's going well. We've had no problems with pests.

They are okay. I have used them for years. Only once several years ago, they were late showing up and that was the only thing, but lately they have been coming regularly. I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

They cleaned outside and inside of the house. They are real, and reliable, and the way they work is good. We have insurance for pest control. I will use them in future.

I got the monthly contract. This went on for eight years, so I put a lot of money into it. I had a problem with the living room floor, so I called someone out. He said the area was moist underneath, so he ended up taking the whole house apart. He found that termites were the problem. I think that this company should pay for the problem, but they refused. Apparently I was paying $90 for them to just come out to inspect. They just kept giving me the run around. I thought I was being protected. The bottom line is that I was not.

They are excellent. Their technicians are very professional. They come when they say they will come and they get the job done right. They did a great job. I no longer have any pest control problems.

We have used Orkin for a while now and our yard looks very nice. We had had a problem with grubs of some sort that were killing the grass, but no longer. They arrived when they said they would, were polite and did their job quickly and well I would absolutely recommend them to others.

We were satisfied with the service they provided as the men always came out on time and were very professional. The price might not be exact, but it was roughly within the range I show below. I can say that they really kept the bugs away and I will probably continue using them when I move.

We have a contract with Orkin Pest and they do an excellent job everytime. No complaints they are always on time and the quality of work is good.

I was not happy with Orkin. They were supposed to do both inside and outside spraying. The inside work was not done but they charged for it. They offered to come back but I didn't want to bother having them come again.

I would recommend Orkin Pest to do work for friends and family. They do a good job of explaining what they are going to do. I am very satisfied with Orkin.

Their work was satisfactory. They were friendly and explained what work that they were going to do originally suppose I would recommend Orkin.

One thing I really like about this company is that they always call before they come out to let me know they're on their way. This way they make sure they do not miss me.

I feel that this company is not meeting my needs because they have to keep coming back. I wish they could be more thorough. I sense that they don't want to come back. They are nice but when my contract is up, I don't want to use them anymore.

Orkin Pest Control does excellent work. We are very happy and satisfied with the results. I would recommend them.
