He exceeded my expectations! Very professional! On time , curteouus and had an attention to detail that is truly exceptional! He came in and fixed a difficult Rubio issue and brought our floors back to what they should have been! Truly amazing!!! I would recommend Him without reservation! Great contractor. Highly recommend. We had previously dealt with a well established Nashville firm to refinish our hardwood floors. They were more expensive than other estimates, but we went with them because of their sterling reputation. Imagine our dismay when our previously smooth hardwood floors showed ripples more appropriate to a seascape than floors. We naturally complained and after a thoroughly disagreeable discussion with multiple excuses, he agreed to fix the issue. It took many weeks and phone calls to schedule and while the end result was better, the floors are still damaged. When it came to refinishing the remainder of our hardwood floors, we started looking around for alternatives. We can't say the we found Kyle after exhaustive research or a thorough process, we just kind of lucked out. He came out, gave us a fair estimate, recognized the damage to the floors as primarily being from a crew trying to rush the job. We accepted our proposal, he talked us our of one part of the project (an honest man). His crew was there when he said they would be, they were personable, hard working and as inconspicuous as a crew can be while running sanders, etc. The worksite was left clean at the end of every day. The floors were done on time, on budget, look marvelous, completely match the finish on the previously refinished floors, but without the damage. I cannot say enough things about Kyle and his crew.and urge anyone looking for a hardwood flooring contractor to contact him. He also has the coolest business card.

The job went very smoothly. Mr. Neuroh explained thoughtfully and thoroughly all steps which needed to be taken. He explained floor preparation prior to refinishing and he held to his time table. He explained the types of finishes and their durability and he was very patient during the stain color selection process, drying time needed and importance of letting the floor dry and cure. His crew was very respectful of our home while working which was truly appreciated!

Work was done in September, and the floors are still beautiful despite 3 dogs. Kyle listened to our concerns and made recommendations based on our needs. While his initial quote seemed higher, having the "dustless" process included brought his costs right in line with others who charge extra for that option. He and his team were always professional and very easy to work with. They kept me updated about the progress so we could schedule other work accordingly. I highly recommend them.

Great communication and flex with dates.

My floors look fantastic. I had a an existing golden oak finish on my old hardwoods that needed to go! Kyle and his team refinished the existing flooring and added new hardwood in my bedrooms. They recommended using a Rubio Monocoat finish. This finish was exactly what I wanted. The transition between the existing floors and the new flooring is seamless. My floors have a beautiful, soft patina but no harsh shine. I would highly recommend Kyle and his team.

Floors were water damaged and he made sure the floors were dry and in good condition before the work was done. Good artistic eye which helped when I picked stain and newel posts. Completely dependable.

I was resistant to a change from the previous polyurethane finish and very hesitant to try the recommended Rubio Monocoat. Kyle was very patient, knowledgeable and accommodating in helping us to decide on the type of finish we would be happy with. He showed us numerous samples and even arranged for us to view some of his customer’s homes to assist us in making a decision that we would be happy with (they too were very pleased with Kyle's work and highly recommended him). We were happy with the minimal dust cleanup and appreciated Kyle's and his team’s workmanship and professionalism and highly recommend him for any hardwood flooring needs. After having a fallout with a previously arranged contractor to refinish our hardwoods, we were glad we found Neuroh Contracting to complete the job.  Kyle's team did a fantastic job refinishing the hardwoods and doing everything right from the start.  Kyle, himself, was very patient with our busy schedule and his patience working with our limited availability was very helpful. 

Kyle's attention to detail was impeccable.  He noticed rotting wood at our back entry door that needed to be replaced along with a covered vent from the previous hardwood that had been laid.  Of course this needed to be addressed, but we are glad that he told us this information and was honest about it versus ignoring it as what we probably would have expected from our original flooring contractor.  Additionally, he was very thorough in explaining the steps that needed to be taken and communicating when we needed to be out of the house when the staining/curing process began.  Upon completion, he made to let me know about the maintenance of the hardwoods and the upkeep of them.

We had a larger square foot home so the total cost was a little high.  That said, it was all of it was worth it for the peace of mind, patience/understanding, the quality of work and ultimately the final result.  Our floors look amazing now, thanks to the work from Neuroh Contracting.  We are very satisfied with the outcome and are happy that we found Kyle's team to get this job done in a relatively quick timeframe (2 weeks).  We would highly recommend Neuroh Contracting to anyone that needs flooring work that needs to be done, if they want an honest and dedicated team that will get the job done right the first time.

They did an exceptional job. They started on the date we agreed upon and finished on time. They gave us several options regarding color and the benefits of different finishes. Their attention to detail exceeded our expectations and kept us well informed on the progress and any snags that came up.

From start to finish, Kyle was responsive and professional.  I was recommending him to others before the job was even done.  We had some water damage during last winter's ice storm and were fortunate to have some insurance money to replace our 15-year-old hardwood floors.  I called 3 flooring contractors for estimates, 2 of which were also flooring retailers.  Kyle's wasn't the lowest bid, but his thorough inspection and estimate, along with his advice on installation, gave us a lot of confidence that the job would be in good hands.  His crew members were delightful, same attention to detail and excellence as Kyle, and were a pleasure to work with.  They all seemed to enjoy and take pride in their craft.
Ultimately, we spent more than our insurance allowance, but we know that we have a great floor that can be refinished again and again, unlike our old, pre-finished engineered floors that couldn't be helped.  We're really happy with the results and will use Kyle whenever we have repairs or remodeling to do.

Kyle arrived about ten minutes after I called him for an estimate. Just my good fortune that he had a job in the area, but still I was impressed that he would just come right out. After deciding to go with Kyle he described how the whole process would go, what time he would arrive in the morning, and what time they would depart at night. If there was any deviation I was given plenty of notice. Very professional!
As to the work itself, all I can say is wow! The floor looks fantastic. It feels like a completely different room, one that I actually want to be in! I should also mention the work was completed ahead of schedule. I can't give a company a higher recommendation.

It was a very good experience. Kyle was responsive to phone calls, gave a very competitive estimate which he honored to the penny. He and his team made minor repairs, We are very happy with how the floors look.... like new!

Kyle provided an estimate that was in line with another well-reviewed provider, slightly lower.  The differentiator for me was being able to speak to the owner doing the estimate who would also be overseeing the work, as opposed to the other company where I was talking to office personnel, rather than directly to the estimator and project manager.  I was also impressed with his attention to detail.
He began the work about 2 weeks after the estimate, they started a couple of days earlier than planned.  He and his crew were very professional, courteous and efficient.  Kyle is a nice and pleasant guy who seems to enjoy his work.  They always cleaned up after themselves.  Kyle is also the type of guy who notices that there is a creak in the floor or the door handle is loose and tries to fix it for you.  When it came to making decisions, he made suggestions without being pushy, and his recommendations (such as on color) were spot on. 
The project required them to do some things I think they don't often do, mainly assembling and disassembling a spiral staircase, yet the finished product looks great.  And even though it was probably more complicated than he expected, he honored the estimate and came right in line.
The floors came out perfect and we couldn't be more pleased.  We have dealt with a lot of service providers in the last few months with varying results, and we certainly put Neuroh at the top of the list.  I will certainly use him again for any hardwood flooring needs and highly recommend him.

     After reading their many reviews on Angie's List , I decided to use Neuroh Contracting to install

hardwood in my upstairs master bedroom.  Kyle Neuroh came to my home and gave me an estimate. He

was knowledgeable and courteous.



   Prior to the start of my flooring , I had myself removed all furniture , carpeting and subflooring from my

master bedroom .



  On the day they started, he had subcontracted another company named Bailey Hardwood Flooring to

do the job (not on Angie's List). Kyle did not inform me that he was going to do this. He had only told me

he would have "a crew" to start the flooring .  A lot of good it did me using Angie's List .



  All money was paid to Neuroh Contracting . Kyle Neuroh was only a middle man .



  When I hire someone to do a job and he hires someone else , I feel like I over paid; like I paid a

contractor I did not want or need . I thought that using Angie's List, I would not have a problem like this . It defeated the purpose of me subscribing to AL .

The work went well and was completed on time.  The price was competitive and the business owner kept us informed throughout the project.  I would definitely use Neuroh again.

My husband and I had hired a professional to refinish the existing hardwood floors and to install and finish new hardwood floors in the 3 bedrooms of our recently purchased home.   We were on a tight deadline to complete the remodeling and redecorating our house before we moved in a couple weeks later.  Long story short, when my husband and I saw up close the installed and refinished floors, I said to my husband that it looked like a bad DIY job.   (Why we hired this professional is another story.)
I was on the phone the next morning and called nine flooring companies, all from Angie's List.  Of the nine, representatives of seven companies came  that same day and gave estimates on redoing the floors.  The consensus was that even though some had seen other refinishing jobs as bad as ours, none had seen a job worse than ours.  I narrowed the list down to two, one being a long-standing, multi-generational flooring company which a rep from another flooring company too booked to take on my job, recommended to us.  I knew we could not go wrong hiring them, but we still went with Neuroh Contracting, and we are very glad we did. 
Working us into his schedule with an existing job, Kyle  Neuroh was able to start work on our floors the next afternoon and completed the job within our tight time frame, even though it meant working a couple of extra-long days.  He and his crew worked efficiently; they were respectful and courteous; they were always on time; they were tidy with their tools, and the dust from the sanding was well-controlled.  Kyle promptly returned my calls and responded to my texts.  But this all icing on the cake.   
When Kyle came to my house to give an estimate, it was clear that he really knew his stuff; and I had the confidence that he would not be cutting corners  in re-doing our floors even with the tight deadline.   Sometimes professionals 'save' money by using cheaper materials and tools; Kyle used high-end, professional equipment and products to help him do his work.
On each day of the project,  I saw touches of Kyle's perfectionism.   A large handful of boards had to be replaced because they had been damaged so badly from the previous sanding; Kyle put in new ones that blended seamlessly with the floor.  There were also room and closet thresholds that were either missing or needed to be replaced because they had been cut so poorly by the previous flooring professional.  Kyle and his crew cut new boards, each of them fitting like a glove.  And their installation of the shoe molding was expertly done.   After the final coat of polyurethane had dried, Kyle examined all parts of the floor and touched up any small section he felt needed it.   The finished project is the work of a true artisan.  Our hardwood floors are amazing, gorgeous and wonderful, thanks to Neuroh Contracting.  I'm so glad we got it right the second time!

He was able to sand out most of the pet stains, but there was an area that was too damaged (after 55 years and multiple owners and pets) to sand out.  He replaced this area with the same type of wood.  He did a beautiful job and cannot tell where the new wood begins and ends.  He even went above and beyond by fixing a door frame that was too short after the carpet was removed.  This was not his responsibility as part of the contracted job, but he offered and came back one evening the week after finishing the floors and fixed the door frame. 

I would certainly use him again and have no problem recommending him to anyone.  All in all a very beautiful job and great experience.
