I am resubmitting my post about Dr Walthrop to make sure that his lack of knowledge is not forgotten. There are TWO posts on here where he missed cancer. There are many praises of how he treats your cat family but you have to remember so would a kind child. I guess I should say he is improving or rather his staff is because when my Baxter (once in a lifetime cat) had died, he didn’t even bother to call me. His staff said I was just angry. Maybe I was. Bax has been gone awhile now and i still feel so horrible I took him here. Get shots from him, teeth cleaning but when you really need an expert, he has no knowledge of what to do. I took him to the emergency vet and although Bax had been there less than a week before to Nashville Cat misdiagnosed again, they knew in less than an hour. He was too far gone because they had made him also diabetic through NCC misdiagnosis. Cancer kills. I get that. Nothing might have been able to be done. I get that too. I am writing because for weeks and weeks, I asked if it could be cancer. No no and no he said. I spent very close if not over $1,000 dollars to have my cat become diabetic through the medication he gave. All the tests possible except the one that mattered. I haven’t forgotten. I would have spent every dime I had for Bax. I won’t ever have a cat like that again. I love my cats I have because they too have their personality. He was just one in a million and I let him down for taking him here. My review got lost and I am bringing it back in honor of your cat and Bax. I am not angry anymore at anyone but myself. I am writing so you don’t make the same mistake.

Nashville Cat Clinic is the only place I take my cats anymore when I have the choice. While they may be a little pricier, I feel they get better results much faster here than any other vet I've used--better to spend a little more initially and get meaningful help/information than get nickel and dimed for no results elsewhere. The entire staff is caring and compassionate. I've had a cat have a leg amputated due to cancer and another treated for diabetes here, and the diabetic one was boarded here for a few days. All care has been thorough, well-explained, and different treatment options are always offered where applicable. I highly recommend Nashville Cat Clinic.

They are always available and the vet, Dr. Waldrop is super nice. He lets me know everything before he does it and he lets me be there while he does all of the procedures and stuff.

We have used this practice for many years. Dr. Waldrop owns the clinic and he specializes in cats. He is absolutely exceptional. We have had cats with all sorts of particular problems and he saved the lives of some of our cats with his knowledge, experience and professionalism. He allows us to be in the examining room with our cats. His offices are superb and he has all of the equipment he needs.

The Clinic gave me back my peace of mind. I had concerns about one cat in particular, and now, I can get back to enjoying him, instead of worrying about him.

I tried many other vets for my nervous cat. I finally took her to the CAT CLINIC. My cat was relaxed and most at ease with Dr. W. and I was amazed at his relaxed manner and gentleness with my cat. He answered every question I had and was not rushed or short. His staff is great and loving with my cat. I have had vaccinations and most recently teeth cleaning. I could not be happier. I also bring my new cat there as well and he was given the same gentle care. I don"t like traveling 10 miles --but can't see going anywhere else ever again.

Everything went very smoothly and Dr. Ross was wonderful as usual. However, most of my contact with the NCC was the previous 2 years when another of our cats was ill. The NCC was wonderful and extended his life as well as improved the quality of life for StreetKat. When Dr. Ross had done all he could for the cat, the entire staff was wonderful and sympathetic. I also love that I don't have to worry about dogs in the waiting room, etc. Their new facility is beautiful and convenient. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about the NCC. I would not go anywhere else!

My male tabby who is most likely about 12 years old had been plagued with continuous vomiting, liquid diarrhea and was quickly losing wt. It was obvious to see that he was ill. Not satisfied with my usual vet for this problem and consulted Dr. Waldrop at Cat Clinic. He confirmed IBD, gave me several different things to try, "not all cats are alike and different therapies work better for different cats." Gave the cat Budesonide suspension daily. Appetite increased, no vomiting, no horrendous diarrhea, high energy level is back, less shedding than I have ever seen with him. SO GLAD I CAME HERE FOR 2nd OPINION. Without exaggeration, if I had not done so I would have lost this sweet male orange tabby weeks ago.

We love the Nashville Cat Clinic! This is our regular vet, and we always have a positive experience there. Our cats have had vaccinations, teeth cleanings, spay/neuter, etc - we always go to the Cat Clinic. The vets are extraordinarily knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Waldrop will take all the time in the world to talk to us about issues that our pets are facing. He obviously loves what he does and is very enthusiastic and supportive. My only complaint is the expense. It's difficult for us to get out of there without spending 100 dollars or more (we have two cats, so it's usually more like 200 a trip). But they are thorough, and I know that they really care for the animals that they treat.

Provided new pet with necessary immunizations. Took immediate action to conduct thorough examination and relieve discomfort of other pet. Scheduled follow-up appointment and contacted me in the interim to inquire of my pet's comfort.

Excellent. I have had all my cats followed for preventive care and acute care by Drs. Waldrop and Ross for over 12 years. This is a very unique and special veterinary practice in a remodeled ranch-style house, where ONLY CATS are treated. Cat lovers connect easily in the reception area. I've learned a lot about cats from the doctors and staff, and they're consistently helpful and involved in the world of my cats and my involvement with the cats. They're also careful to let me know about costs, and to try to help me save money where I can even to the point of recommending some on line purchases over regular, more-expensive purchases from the office. Really good people, very accommodating. When my 18-year-old cat was blind and chronically ill, Dr. Waldrop helped me understand that euthanizing her would be premature, despite friends' recommendations. When it was "time" 2 years later, he called on a Sunday morning while on his rounds, to let me know.
