Mr Roof advertises "complete in 1 day" and I was told several times by sales person after they gave me a bid that it would be completed same day. They scheduled Sat 6/8 and although a lot of people started in the morning ,after lunch a lot of them did not return. They had only half of the roof done on 6/8 and came back 6/9 and again on 6/10 while I was at work. i noticed a gas smell in the garage and found they had disconnected the vent pipe on the gas water heater and tripped the electrical circuit that my freezer in the garage was on. They put the solar vent in the wrong place even though I found a picture they had that shown where we discussed it should be to work effectively. They put the existing vent boxes back on so that half of the vent was covered up. They came out twice to fix that because the first time they only moved 2 of the 10 that needed moving. The metal flashing on the corners and front of the house had to be replaced because it was not installed correctly. They crushed plants and flowers because they did not protect them when they were tearing off the old roof. They killed patches of grass because of materials and gas that was poured or leaked from their equipment. After numerous calls and sending pictures they came out with a supervisor to finally fix the vent and remaining roof issues. They have not paid for any of the damages they did and after several weeks they sent me a bill for the amount they left off the first invoice that was sent in to be financed. They not only did not complete in one day but after 3 days and 3 additional trips I get invoiced for an additional they forgot to send in. I signed for the additional work order before they started working and they did not turn in the amount for 3 weeks after starting but left the additional invoice off. They did send a $100 gift card to Ruth Chris to me with the $780 invoice and after payment of $13,800 for the roof.

"There are two sides to every story and our customer had some legitimate concerns and of course we apologized for any inconveniences incurred, we even bought him dinner at a well known steakhouse for those inconveniences. Here are some details according to our notes that are not indicated in his review: This roof was large and complicated. We typically do complete a roof in one day. Our presentation includes this fact with a disclaimer that "98% of our roofs are installed in one day". This customer failed to mention in his review that rain delayed his installation and we communicated this to his wife. As for the pipe disconnect and vent reinstallation, this was a "punch" item that was rectified once we realized the issue - in major construction these things occasionally happen - and if they happen on our jobs we rectify quickly. We were not notified as to any landscaping issues by the home owner, he needs to reach out to us so we can take care of any issues regarding as such. We received the best service. The representative, Joe, started at the beginning, giving us a quote, met with our insurance adjuster and was here when the work began. He was very professional and explained everything to us. The workers showed up on Monday at 6:45 am. They worked all day. When they were done they cleaned up....until you couldn't even tell they had been here. The job manager, Tom was at the house throughout the day, checking to make sure things were going well. The job boss was very nice and the workers were fabulous. They made the whole project perfect.

Very good.  Both crews were prompt.  The gutter crew did not come prepared with the supplies for installing the gutter covers as listed in the estimate but they were able to get the supplies and it did not delay the job.

Joe Richardson of Mr. Roof was entirely professional and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. He made sure we understood every detail and pointed out that we had hail damage which I would have missed entirely. Once he pointed it out, it was obvious. He even helped us file the insurance claim. I hate abusive business practices on either side and Joe was completely fair to us and the insurance company. The office staff was very friendly over the phone and the craftsmen were competent, fast and friendly. All concerned showed up when they said they would and finished the job in a more then reasonable time frame. I would hire this company again. Mr. Roof may not have been the least expensive but they were the right choice for us from a standpoint of quality, professional service and honesty. Mr. Roof is a good value!

We had called several companies already. Mr. Roof said that they could get someone out the next day. Their responsiveness was impressive. Normally with things like this its days or weeks after a storm.

In my first interaction with Mr. P- the guy who came out-- He was late on Saturday to come out to the house. I was late to work myself, but told him I'd wait for him.   When he came out he was very personable and was able to show me things about my roof that I had no idea about--that none of the other companies had been able to show me.  He gave great advice, I thought, and told me about different options I had to repair the roof and ideas for what products would work best. 

He just called me back today.  I had been looking forward to working with him.  I had some questions about some of the shingles to get, and his demeanor changed.  He stopped me and told me that he wouldn't help or answer any of my questions without an exclusive contract that he had the job. I felt like I had a gun to my head to make a decision.  I'm a really laid-back and patient guy; but I'm not a pushover.  I just really don't think I need someone like that. If he's got the best shingles and really believes in his company and materials he uses, why does he have to threaten somebody or give an ultimatum? 

I don't have a problem with waiting to get something in the mail from this company to get quotes or anything, but I do not want to be talked to like that.  I had such a good first impression that I would have given A+ after he came out on Saturday, but after talking on the phone today, not at all.  

The best quote I've gotten from any roofer was $2.00 over what was approved by the insurance company.  I've had seven or eight different roofers come out and give me quotes after the hail storm.  Once you tell these people you have insurance, they raise the price!

I did not get a quote from Mr. Roof for the work.

"Due to the numerous storms experienced in the Nashville area this year we have experienced a tremendous amount of calls for roof inspections and many times our schedule has been backed up several weeks. If we find storm damage we ask the consumer to sign a simple agreement with Mr. Roof stating that Mr. Roof will represent them with their insurance company regarding the work needed from storm damage on their home based on what was covered by their insurance company, that they will use Mr. Roof for the work on their home, and that they would incur no other costs other than their deductible which would be charged to them once an approved claim was processed. Working with insurance claims and adjusters is many times a lengthy process; this is why we require a pre-contract, one that this homeowner stated he was not going to sign. I contacted Mr. Roof for an estimate for a leaking roof. The roof leaked water into my dining room, so it was a priority for me to get it fixed ASAP. Mr. Roof came out to the house twice, but never gave me an estimate. I did get several follow up calls from the office to see if I was happy with their service.  The first time I responded saying I never got an estimate.  The second time I told them I still didn't get an estimate (now about 3 weeks after my first contact), but now it didn't matter as I hired someone else and the roof was now repaired.

Everything turned out great with the roof.  The only problem I had was afterwards with the gutter brushes.  They were sticking out and I had to call them to work on it.  They had to come out 3 times to get it fixed.  The guy who did the work was very good but the follow up was just not what I would have liked.  I would use them again under certain conditions.  Those being they be honest with me and follow up.

Overall, awesome!  Ken was absolutely awesome!  He was patient and took his time in explaining what was causing the leaks and how it could be repaired. He even went on to tell me to use Kilz to remove the water stains before painting over them

Because we had hail and wind damage from recent storms, our insurance agreed to pay for a new roof less our deductible. We called Mr. Roof and from the original meeting with Norm, the salesperson, to the new roof installation today, our entire experience has been better than we could have imagined. Norm walked us through the insurance claim process and even came back to our house the day the insurance adjuster was here to walk the roof with him and make sure he saw the hail and wind damage. This morning the Mr. Roof crew of 12 arrived at 6:45am and began work removing the existing roof promptly at 7am. All of the crew was very courteous and they took many precautions to protect windows and lay tarp in areas where we didn't want landscaping damaged. By 2:30pm the old roof was gone and the new roof was completely installed. The crew cleaned everything up down to the last shingle and when they left the house, it looked like nobody had even been there except for the beautiful new roof on our house. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr. Roof for any roofing needs and have already asked them for a quote to repair/replace our soffits and gutters.
