I wish I could give MidSouth Construction many more stars. They are an outstanding company with excellent customer service. MidSouth was extremely helpful in negotiating our wind damage claim with our insurance company which can be a very intimidating process. They were knowledgeable and compassionate and fought hard for us. They do great work and we have the most beautiful roof in the neighborhood. I highly recommend MidSouth!

We lost many shingles during a storm and called MidSouth. William Richie was a pleasure to work with from the start. We received prompt and courteous service. All of our questions were answered accurately and communication and responses were very timely. The service during the installation was super. Everything took place right on schedule. The clean up excellent as well. William's follow-up sealed the deal. We love our new roof and had an excellent experience. (Look at "before" and "after"!)

I highly recommend Midsouth Construction. I was apprehensive about selecting a roofing company but after talking to Robert Hunter, the project manager he quickly calmed my fears. He was honest and informative of all the details from choosing the roof color to the under alimentary. I highly recommend Midsouth Construction they are honest, reliable and professional crew and easy to work with. Mr. Hunter was extremely patient and answered all my questions and kept me updated throughout the entire process. I LOVE MY NEW ROOF and THANKS TO MR. They did a good job. If there were any problems they came back and corrected those errors.

Crew that actually came out and did the work was professional, punctual, hard-working, and did a great job picking up nails, trash, etc after work was complete. Was extremely impressed and pleased with them. The sales rep who came out to gave us the quote and schedule the work was another story entirely though. He was argumentative, didn't properly inform us when the work would begin, and did not follow-up properly on questions that we had around getting us hard numbers on the upgrades we requested (architectural shingles instead of standard shingles) PRIOR TO work beginning. The materials just showed up in our driveway one week, and the crew randomly  just showed up one morning to do the work. He swore up and down he told us the week before, but he did not - he admitted later it was our neighbor that he talked to. He also never came back to fix an issue with the gutter that he was contractually supposed to. He did our neighbor's house as well, and a crew has yet to come back to install her new gutters. She's been without gutters now for 6 months.
We would definitely use the crew we had again, but we never want to have any kind of interaction with the sales rep ever again.

There was a next deal. It was an insurance replacement. I like their quality.

MidSouth Construction inspected several rental properties that I own that are all centrally located in Murfreesboro TN.  They found that each of the homes had sustained hail damage and assisted me with the insurance claims process.  Each home was approved for a full roof replacement by my insurance carrier after the adjuster met with the MidSouth representative.  
This company was very courteous to work with and respected the tenants during the build process.  The roofs were installed in a timely manner and the workmanship was top quality.  I stopped by several times during the day while the roofs were being installed and found the project manager always on site, shingles being installed correctly, a water proof barrier being used in all potential leak areas, and the crews hard at work!   I've had roofs replaced before, and was pleased with the clean up job that the crews and felt like they took extra care to roll the yard to make sure that the tenants did not receive any flat tires!
They were very happy to help take care of the small siding job that resulted from hail damaging some of the pieces on one side of the home and also replaced the gutters and a few window screens.  It was a huge relief to have the entire claim handled by Midsouth with no stress put on me and my busy schedule!
I have used this company for multiple roof replacements and recommend them to business owners as well as investment property and residential home owners.  They are a professional, quality company!

Midsouth worked with me to schedule my roof replacement and installed the new roof at a time that was best for me.  
I  was impressed with the care the crew took with my landscaping before they started.  They were very fast and were able to remove my entire roof and have my brand new roof installed in one day!  Being an old home, when they removed the roof it was determined that some of the decking was rotted and needed to be replaced.  They handled everything and corrected details that I would have never known could be a problem.  I really felt like they gave me a top quality product.  The project manager stayed onsite during the installation and I felt very comfortable knowing that they were there to ensure everything went well.  I love the way my new roof looks and it totally changed the curb appeal of my home.  I found the project manager to be very courteous and felt like the company did a very professional job.  I would be happy to recommend MidSouth Construction to anyone who needs a roof!

I called Mid South from Angie's list site information..  They responded that same day.  Ralph was my contractor and he was very professional and knowledgeable.  He took the ball and ran with it.  By the next Friday, we had a new roof and it is beautiful.  All of my neighbors are jealous!  
I would recommend Mid South to whoever needs an honest, speedy, nice company to work with.

As you can tell from above it went horrible !  They did show up pretty much on time but I was very frustrated that no one on the crew ( which they left for long periods of time ) had a working knowledge of the English language. This made it impossible to communicate with them and without the project mangers there, Impossible to clearly understand the work that was being done. When I tried to talk to a project manager his attitude was hateful and it turned into a fight (verbal) instead of a discussion. I made it clear we would not pay for inferior work. The work went fairly smooth after that until completion of the roofs. We were then presented a bill for $13,741.97. Let me make it clear that we did have an upgrade from shingles to metal done, however this seemed way to high. I said so several times but one of the project managers kept talking and would not allow time to look over the papers ( which he kept in his hands the entire time ). I felt like I was being talked to by a carnival worker who was trying to get over on me , an he did ! They did not reduce the price of the metal by the price of the shingles that had been paid for by insurance, charged for a turbine vent that was not used due to the change of roofing material, and refused to pay a referral fee she was due for getting them a job on a neighbors house . Per insurance replacement cost they were due $9657.72 for doing the roofs. That means they over charged by *$4084.25 . Add the referral fee of  $150 to that and they owe my mother $4234.25 . Also, after the roofs were finished it came to my attention that they had not gotten and posted a permit for the work and were not licensed in this area, as contractors are supposed to be if they do work exceeding a $10,000.00 charge  As they quit the job before doing the other work needed and covered by the insurance,  I feel they have breached the contract and have gotten legal information from an attorney to this effect. I have given them the opportunity to make this right and am currently waiting for a return of the money which was over charged. If the money is not received in a reasonable period of time we intend to file charges for breach of contract. When the first words out of a companies mouth is "We are at the top of the list on Angie's List  you better watch out ! Check them out carefully ! I feel that when we didn't ask for the discount they have posted ( I became a member because of this incident ) they targeted us as not likely to review their company, so the work didn't matter.
     * Let me begin by saying that I did make a few mistakes, #1.  They do have a license to do contract work in MS. They received the license in March 2013 , and because it was so new it had not been listed on the sites you can use to check on licensing. # 2.  I did not realize that Labor and materials were listed together on the insurance claim, therefore the amount was incorrect. I did not expect the work to be done for free. Only for the shingle price to be deducted from the metal price #3 They did not deny they failed to get a local work permit but did inform me that if they didn't get it , it was merely an over site on their part and that should be between them and the  local permit board. I suppose that is true, but do take exception to the fact that it was supposed to be taken care of by them, and that we were told they would handle all of that. Unfortunately we did not have that in writing.  It was part of the first discussion prior to us hiring them.   In post script to the below answer ,the reason we questioned their honest was because what they said did not match what they did.. I do not believe they were entitled to the portion of the insurance payment that was meant to purchase the shingles, the paper they mention clearly states the material and cost and is listed by number of sheets and cost of each. That implied to me that it was the material cost.  No need to go through this again.
I did not argue that they did not deserve any of the deductible, but that they deserved only the percentage of the deductible equal to the percentage of the work they did.
After we got no satisfaction from the work Angie's list put into setting this right, (and believe me, they really went to bat for us ) I turned to the BBB.  They also were unable to get them to do what I feel is right.  the company is  threatening to file a liable suit against me, if I take it to court to try to get them to do right. The strain is more than my 84 year old mom can take. She has suffered an injury that has required she use a walker and also  is having to face 2 surgeries ( nothing to do with this situation other than she can't take the additional strain of dealing with this mess on top of the other problems).  For that reason only am I dropping this. So let me end this by saying that I will never do business with this company again, nor would I ever refer another to do business with them. I would also suggest that if you are to do business with them you make absolutely sure that you understand every sentence in their paperwork is exactly what you believe it to mean. I don't believe you should let their beginning behavior fool you into thinking they will treat you fairly ! Incidentally, we have hired another company and have not had the first problem with them.

After multiple storms, we were approached my many roofing companies. Mid South was the best by far - from start to finish we were very pleased. Great people, great work.

This was an insurance claim from hail damage.  This claim was started the end of June 2012.  As of this date, (12/8/12) the work has yet to be completed. It has taken phone calls for several months in an attempt to get this company to complete the work.  The actual replacement of the shingles lead to nails sticking through the wood eaves and chipped paint.  The nails had to be cut off and the paint touched up.  The sales rep told my mom that even though she didn't purchase the more expensive architectural shingles, that these had been put on her roof, but they were only the 3-tab that had been placed on the roof.  The company was also responsible for replacing the gutter screens.  We were told on multiple occasions that these  had been replaced and every time we checked, we found that the screens had not been replaced.  I am still at this time trying to get this job completed.  They were also supposed to replace the aluminum frame on the window but my elderly mom was told that the window was old and an odd size so they offered to take the $300 set aside for this window and reglaze three windows.  All they did was put 4 pieces of plastic weather stripping around 3 windows and that was supposed to equal the $300 allocated for the window.  Phone calls were never returned or they gave the excuse that they had lost my number.  I am still hoping to get this work done before the new year.

Due to hail damage in 2012, we had extensive damage on our roof, gutters, and some siding.  We tried Midsouth from a long list we reviewed on Angie's List and BBB.  Initially they sent out the project manager and a second experienced manager.  They did extensive detailed analysis.  The bid for all work was within the allowed amount from our insurance company's appraiser.  I can't say enough about the project manager Kyle Heggan.  He was young, but extremely sharp and professional.  His initial attention to detail and ability to work with our insurance claims was most impressive.  He knew what he was doing from the very start.  We had asked to keep the construction crew clear of any undocumented workers/illegal immigrants and he was fine with trying to put a team together.  They ended up going to Kentucky to find a crew.  They paid to bring the team down and even though it took three times as long as their local crews, he said they would stand behind their commitment.  The Kentucky crew made multiple mistakes and both Kyle and the local owner/manager stood behind the quality and commitment to their customer.  After the crew was complete, I mentioned the the tiles were crooked on the garage roof (didn't use a chalk line) and Kyle came out right away.  He apologized and called the company owner, which on a Saturday impressed me as well.  The owner was watching a football game and left it to come out and see the problem.  He was very professional and cordial, apologized for the work of the crew, had them remove all the tiles and paid to have the tiles replaced.  This time the work was much better.  This type of phenomenal commitment and professional detailed level of service is what we all look for when dealing with this kind of work.  Kyle made multiple trips to ensure everything was exactly done right and to my satisfaction.  Some unexpected work he did himself to make sure the original bid was adhered to.  His time was not charged but he won over my entire family on being someone we all could trust.  The end product was excellent and I highly recommend Midsouth Construction in Nashville and especially ask for Kyle Heggan as your project manager.  He is incredibly competent, diligent, honest, and a pure pleasure to have worked with.

Got mid south name from my wife's brother. We are truck drivers so not home much and needed a firm that would take care of it all, so we did not have to worry about it. Mid South was great they handled everything and we would use them again for sure.

Midsouth was recommended by a friend who had his roof replaced by them.  My experience was excellent from start to finish.  I called and they showed up and met with my insurance adjuster.  They showed up to replace my roof when they were scheduled and finished on time and on budget  I have extensive landscaping and they took great care not to harm anything.  They also did a great job with the cleanup after they were finished.  My roof looks great and I would highly recommend Midsouth to anyone that needs a roof.
