McCalls Carpet One Floor & Home

McCall's was responsive and timely. They are a bit more pricey than the big home improvement stores but the attention to detail and quality was worth it.

Very nice/neat installers (Still left dust on everything but they did their best to minimize this- including replacing the air filter in my home.  It took several return trips to reglue areas that were not level--> not their fault but annoying.  They did comp. me free hardwood in a small bathroom to make up for all the difficulties which was.)  Highly recommend Robin Nunlex- interior designer went that way and above.

I know it has been almost 10 years since I used McCalls but I am still coming across problems that they have caused.  I used them because they gave me the best deal and sales person was really good at what she did.  They did not show up on days they were supposed to, I had to call them every other day asking why they did not come to work, their response was they were working at another persons place.  THEY WERE SCHEDULED FOR MY PLACE FOR ENTIRE WEEK.  It took 3 weeks to complete service on a 1200 sq. ft condo just because I had to hunt them down every other day to get them to work.  Meanwhile my dog was at doggy camp the whole time, had to spend more money on that. 
I had to call them asking why my dryer was out of the closet, doors off the hinges and the owner thought they had finished everything....  It was a fight to get them to do anything. 
Now I have warped flooring (due to a window leak) and the boss told me it would cost between $200 to $2000 to fix.  Refused to give me an estimate and acted as if it would be a chore to fix it. He even told me that I should fix the window first.  DUH! I am not stupid (other than making a stupid mistake of hiring them).
They did not screw down my toilets so my toilets have wobbled for a long time. There are ceramic cement marks on my doors where they hung my doors before washing their hands.  Have to repaint the doors but I guess after ten years it just serves as a reminder of sloppy work and who not to call.  They did not even screw the hinges in all the way and to this date the hinges are sticking up.  
 There is no recourse for me because it has been ten years.   I feel that they did this because I am a single female who does not have a zillion dollar mansion and they thought they could get away with cutting corners.  They certainly acted like they did not want to do business after I had paid them and they got started doing the work.  Lesson to me, never ever ever pay up front.  Will not do that again, My big blunder in it all!
There are places in my flooring that have gaps as well, not due to  water damage or anything.  They left a mess,took up my time,and I would recommend you avoid them at all costs.

We very recently worked with McCall's to replace the carpet in our new home. McCall's is a wonderful local store, owned by folks that live in our are. We compared prices with the box stores, and they were the same price, no exorbitant prices here! We enjoyed talking with Kathy, having Karl come measure (he was punctual and focused!) and Greg and his team for installation. We love our new carpet, it was absolutely the right call for us. McCall's replaced all of the carpet on our second floor, did a binded stair carpet, and the carpet in our master closet. We have yet to find an issue. They swept the area afterwards - what a treat to go see it for the first time and for it to look absolutely perfect. The padding they use is perfect, too! Not too squishy, not too hard. Just right. If you have this need, please call them up. Easy to work with, great local folks that we know can meet your needs!

From discussing budget to the type of floor we had an excellent experience !! diffently would them again.
