"This job started as a remove and replace the flooring that was damaged by her washing machine with a laminate floor. After the work was started, she filed an insurance claim and added repairing the damaged drywall (10 days extra due to 3 days to dry the framing to the insurance companies specifications, 2 days to remove the wallpaper, 3 days to replace the drywall, and 2 days to paint). She then chose to put bamboo instead of laminate(original flooring) on her slab. Because of that, it had to be glued down. She had an allergic reaction to the glue and had to move out while the project was completed. Then, she complained the floor was being installed in a different direction than she asked. I replaced it. She complained the wood was the wrong color. I replaced it. She complained there was excessive glue on the flooring. I paid to have the floors refininshed even though 3 other hardwood installers said some glue is to be expected and the amount was minimal. For this job, I was paid approxiamately $3500 and my labor cost alone exceeded $4000, not to mention buying over 1200 square feet of bamboo flooring. All of the plumbing was inspected and sound when I left the premises the last time. At no time was any damage to the stove mentioned to me. She purchased the paint we used. Because she refused to purchase new hardware and her existing hardware was over 20 years old, I cannot take any responsibility for her laundry doors not staying mounted."
