John's upholstery training actually began many years before that and over this past 3 and a half decades, he has absolutely perfected his craft. The actual work took about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks, just as promised. When delivered, the sofas look like new, and are just as firm as new, and much more comfortable than before the repairs. We are very pleased with the quality, and workmanship, which appear to be excellent and uncompromising. However, this premium quality comes at a premium price, and his prices (not including the fabric cost) are, in my opinion, high. However, we essentially have two new custom sofas which we expect to last at least another 20+ years with daily use, so that the cost is comparable to new. The final cost (listed above, for both sofas, not including fabric) was exactly what was quoted except for the fabric treatment (which was not in the original quote, but agreed upon before the work was completed) and the tax.
