Been a customer for over 30 years and have taken them every car the family has owned. Always treated more as family than a customer and never thought twice about the cost, quality or need for repairs made. Good people!

Transmission was leaking fluid so I wasted no time in taking car to Import Automotive. The mechanic warned me that the cost could possibly go up to $4300 dollars or more to replace or repair transmission. Later that afternoon the mechanic called me at work and gave me the wonderful news that no damage was done to transmission at all. She also complemented me for bringing the car in as soon as the leak was detected. The problem was simply a broken rubber seal and the cost only $325 dollars! I was so delighted with the good news that I also requested a transmission tune up and fluid change which added $650 dollars to make the final cost only $950. I cannot stress enough the most high quality of  excellence in service and car repair at Import Auto!!

Excellent diagnostics, excellent work.  I have used Import Auto Maintenance since the late '80's, and they are great.  Consistently the best diagnostic work I have seen, reported in as quantitative terms as possible.  They are somewhat more expensive, but they warranty their parts and labor for a year.
Even if you don't want to pay a bit more for them, I highly recommend you consider using them for at least the initial diagnosis --- they catch things others don't.  For example, IAM told me I had a blown head gask in a Saab, repairs of which often run $2500.  I took it to another place, also good work, but they said it was just a faulty spark plug and fixed it for under $100.  HOWEVER, a year later, sure enough, the problem was back and worse, and it was and had indeed been a blown head gasket.  Thus, IAM got it right the first time, and way ahead of the competition.
I think IAM is getting poorer reviews because people don't like to hear bad news.  Because they are such great diagnosticians and "dig deeper" into potential problems than anyone else, they find more and tell you more, oftentimes things you do not want to hear.  But they are usually right.  They want to make your care as "perfect" as can be, and sometimes that's too costly,  So, if nothing else, use them for diagnostic work, where they really shine.

Service reps were very helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Work was done perfectly (no problems after a full year). I felt no pressure to have extra work done, although they did point out other issues (e.g., slow oil leak).

1. Fairly easy to schedule appointment, just dropped off my car and it was ready in 2-3 hours
2. The primary reason I wanted a pre-purchase inspection, sounds coming from the wheels when driving, unclear how thoroughly it was investigated.

Excellent service. I've been coming here for about 10 years and the work they've done has always been solid.

I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. It was good. The big deal was for $50. They initially forgot to take it off. I printed it out and gave it to them when I dropped the car off. But when they were ringing me up, they forgot to deduct it. Once I reminded them, they took it off. All of the service they provided was excellent. I even had to go back for a follow-up, and they covered that at no charge. It was very good to deal with them. The good part was that they were very forthcoming with the service done, and they were accurate on their quote. The drawback on them was that they were a little slow, and they didn’t provide feedback when the service was going on when they ran into delays. Overall, I was satisfied with them. I would use them again.

Oil change. It went well but was expensive, I wouldn't go back for an oil change, but would considered them for more complex problem with my auto.

Took a little longer and cost more than expected, but they did an accurate job. Very professional. Employed them for several years when I lived and worked in the Nashville area.

Import Auto Maintenance is the best place to take an import car. They are knowledgable, prompt, very women-oriented in their service and their prices are extremely fair. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

Excellent. They promptly drove me to my office and picked me up that afternoon to bring me back to get my car. The driver and cashier at the shop were both very friendly.

Have used IAM many years with many cars.   trustworthy and shuttle service very convenient.   No prob using coupon for my oil change, rotate and balance tires and align and check brakes.    If you have an import, go see IAM

Import Auto had recently done some much-needed repairs and part-replacements on my old Trooper. They are keeping it running like a youngster! Smoothly! There service is always friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. They are the best in every respect!
