Vincent Jones/Peter Paul Construction Company, referred to us through Angi.com, came out to repair a ceiling fan light that would not turn on. We were charged $100 and my wife was told what part it needed and was asked to order it. First we noticed that the glass light covering was cracked in two places. Desiring to get it repaired soon, I took the light kit assembly off to take to Home Depot to get the part that he said was needed inside the assembly. The person at Home Depot said that part doesn’t even connect to the lights but runs the fan. The employee at Home Depot explained to me what the problem likely was and changed one wire on the light assembly in seconds while I was there. No charge, the issue was resolved. I’m out $100 and a cracked light covering.

"The light cover was already cracked when I took it down I noticed that and the operation that you preform on the light is only a hotwire procedure which will bypass the power limiter which will most likely subject you to overheating the light and causing a fire"
