Don Kennedy Roofing did an outstanding job of replacing my mansard roof. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work or the efficiency and professionalism of everyone that I dealt with. Cory, Shane, Terri, and everyone else that I had contact with were all great. It's no wonder that this roofing company has such a great reputation!

They were always quick to respond and easy to get a hold of when I needed them, they cleaned up the area very well after the project was completed and their overall professionalism made them extremely easy to work with. We have recommended them to many friends in the area.

I had Don Kennedy Roofing come out and perform an estimate and agreed the same day to have them do the work. They were to contact me within a couple days to set up a time to perform the work. I called three times over the next week and left messages with no response. 28 days later they called me at 6:30am and told me they were coming that day. I went home during my lunch break to see how things were going since I was unable to take the day off as I was not given any notice. The foreman was there but didn't bother getting out of his truck until after I spoke to the crew. I asked why he had never called me back, he told me he had checked his calls and had left a message at the wrong number on Friday. I asked about the previous 4 weeks, his response was "it's been crazy with all this rain", it did not rain at all 18 days after I got my estimate, and only one day out of the entire month! 
My estimate called for replacing the rotten decking. When I spoke to the foreman about how the repairs were going, he didn't mention the decking. When I asked about it, he said it didn't need replacing because it wasn't rotten and "would hold a nail". I explained that it was rotten and molded, he told me he was unaware of mold and I should just clean it with some bleach. He then showed me pictures from the estimate..which show pictures of the mold.
They finished the work that day and filed a formal complaint with them including additional pictures of the rotten decking. They came back out and looked at the roof again and quoted an considerable increase in price to finish the full work that was originally quoted. I decided I no longer wanted to deal with them in any way and opted to do the additional work myself.
Also between the time of them doing the work and resolving my complaint, I received a bill for the full amount as if they had indeed done the entire job as quoted. I had to call and get this adjusted and they only took $70 off the total price for not replacing all the items described in the original quote.
In short, I had an absolutely terrible experience with Don Kennedy Roofing and they didn't do much to make amends for their mistakes. I could never recommend this company to anyone.

The sales presentation of Shane Taylor is top notch, very professional, thorough and detailed. I compared proposals from 4 roofing companies before selecting Don Kennedy roofing. Shane was the first to provide an estimate. I told my wife after Shane left that if I was ever going to buy after the first estimate it would have been from Shane.
The installation team was also very professional, courtious and thorough. Cleaned up and neatened up daily allowing access to the garage after their work hours during the entire project.
There were a few small items on the roof that needed to be corrected after the soffits and gutters were installed and the were handled within 2 ~ 3 days.

They did excellent work, very dependable, and I am very satisfied with the result.

Fairly well, had trouble getting them to start. They delivered supplies early but then did not start for over a week. Had to involve owner to get things on track. left quite a bit of debris in the yard and around the house. Stained the street in front of the house with a rust from???

We contacted Don Kennedy Roofing for a minor roof repair on a 2-story home that 
would enable us to satisfy a buyer?s requirement to complete the sale of our 
house.  The initial estimate was for several hours of work that would include 
pulling off shingles, repairing or replacing the boards beneath the shingles, 
then putting on new shingles.  The estimate was for 2 workers, several hours at 
a cost of roughly 1,000, including a 10% discount we negotiated into the 
contract. The actual work did not include any work on the boards beneath the 
shingles and took the 2 men less than 90 minutes.  The workers left us a bill 
for $981 but told us as they would inform the office so we would receive a 
significant reduction to the bill since the work was far less than originally 
proposed.  The office has since informed us that there will be no reduction and 
we have to pay the full amount, in effect, several hundred more than the job was 
worth. 

We contracted Don Kennedy Roofing to replace our roof that was damaged in a storm. They started on time, the price was fine...everything was good. I went to work and when I came back I noticed one of the windows was scratched from the pieces they had thrown down from the roof. As I investigated further, I found that EVERY SINGLE WINDOW in the house had been scratched or broken- that's 14 windows! I called the company right away and someone came out and looked at the damage and said the company would pay for replacements. He then went up on the roof and talked to the crew. He left and I had to go out to run an errand. When I came back, about 40 minutes later, the crew had left for the day, but i could see clearly from the drive way that a piece of the trim on one of the dormers had been damaged- a good 8 inches of trim down next to the roof where the flashing is- had been hacked off. I called the company again and was assured it would be replaced, too. True to their word, the company replaced the windows and fixed the trim. Their expenses fixing it were actually more than the price of the roof. Fine, great. BUT... Flash forward to January; We had our handyman come out to clean the gutters, which he did twice a year, only this time they were stuffed with Coke cans and chip bags- to the point where he had to take some of them down and push the junk through. He said that he believed someone had put them in on purpose and pushed them in with a broom handle or something to make them blocked up. There were over a 15 cans in there! I knew right away that it was the roofers, angry that I had called about their sloppy work, but I did not complain to Don Kennedy as I didn't want anything else to do with them. THEN, about 3 weeks later we got heavy , heavy rains. I came out to the garage and noticed water on the floor. Looking up, the ceiling was soaked through. I ran upstairs and went into the storage area next to the dormer (Yes, the same dormer that was damaged) and found water pouring in- right in the spot where the trim was replaced. I quickly emptied some large plastic bins- the kind you store clothes in- and arranged them to catch the water. I called the roofing company and told them the new roof was leaking badly. They said someone would come right out to fix it. That's what they told me the next day when the rain had stopped, and the next day, too. Then they said it was raining too hard for someone to come out and rain was predicted for the next 4 days- all the while I am carting plastic bins full of water to empty out.  I finally called and asked to speak to Don Kennedy himself, sure that he would be apalled at how I had been treated. He assured me that someone would be out within the hour to fix the leak, and sure enough, in the pouring rain they came out. It was fixed and I was told it was a very large hole in the flashing, and since I didn't replace the flashing I was responsible for the charges and the company would not fix the damaged ceiling in the roof of the garage, even though they waited almost a week before they came out. I reminded them that there was no mention of a hole when they were replacing the roof, and if there had been a hole there before they replaced the roof, the roof would have leaked all along since that area was not where the storm had done any damage. I also reminded them of the intentional damage that had been done to the dormer and informed them of the cans and chip bags in the drains. They said the cans could have come from anywhere! I couldn't believe they expected me to swallow that someone else had been up on my roof and stuffed 15 cans and at least that many chip bags into my gutters and drains! I had the work on the ceiling done and paid for it myself. The drywall had to be replaced and the entire ceiling had to be repainted- I say REpainted because we were going to put the house up for sale and had the garage painted a couple of months before. I would NEVER AGAIN call this company for anything. While they fixed some of the damage, I still had to pay for their crew's vandalism. I have never had any service person unhappy with the way I have done business with them and to be treated this way is unbelievable to me.

We had an excellent total experience with Don Kennedy Roofing.  Damian Roberts, the consultant, was professional, knowledgeable and helpful in working with us through the process prior to beginning the actual work on the roof.  He also returned to our property to inspect the work after it was completed to make certain all was done satisfactorily.  Once the work began, the roofers worked diligently, efficiently & quickly.  They worked on our roof daily for more than one week and were always very respectful of our property.  When the work was completed, they cleaned up our yard quickly and completely to our safisfaction.  Overall, all employees along with the enire experience totally exceeded our expectations.  There is a reason why Don Kennedy Roofing has been in business in Nashville for many years and why they continue to be the premier roofing company in this area.  We would definitely use their services again if needed and would never even consider using another Nashville roofing company.

Very pleased with the results. Everything went smooth. They did what said, when they said, at the price they said. Very professional from the man who gave the estimate, to the installers, to the follow up after job was completed.

Don Kennedy's guys fixed my leaking skylights where others had failed. Initially one skylight did leak but they returned several times until the leak was repaired. I was very happy with the service I received.

I ask them to come out and give me an estimate and they ended up canceling at the last minute saying that the employee had called out sick, but on the next appointment they showed up on time and gave me the estimate and came back out 3 days later and made the repair. They did a good job and I would recommend and use them again.

They did an okay job but the price was high. They entered my home and they took items that they should not have taken. They came at 6:30 AM when I told them I was not going to be there and did the work against my instructions.

The leaks are still occuring. Yes there is a 10 year warrenty on repairs, but I'm getting tired of keeping buckets out and having to call after major rain and finding leaks. the roof I am refering to is about 2 hours from Nashville so getting timely responses have been frustrating and having to make the calls when my calls are not returned are getting frustrating. There is evidently another process they offer to detect leaks, but they have not done it yet, I am having to ask for that process to be done. Seems there aren't enough people in the company that know enough about it, so I will have to wait until they can get the one person familiar with the process to come do it.

Yes I said I would hire them again only because they have been "nice" and I feel this is an isolated incident. But my patience, which I have had plenty of, is now running thin. We are working on a year now since the repair was done.

I called them, and a representative came out to do an assessment.  They scheduled an appointment.  My overall experience was good.  I will score them A across the board.  They were great.
