My biggest complaint was when we asked David to install a shower rod and hooks on the back of the shower. This meant that holes would need to be drilled into the tile. He knew this was a request from day one...and when it was the last day of the project and he was ready to be done, it became an impossible task. David said no one drills holes in tile and that the rod and hooks would need to fit in grout lines. What???? That's total garbage. It was obvious that David was mentally done with this project. He told me he had another project beginning on Monday...and when it was Saturday afternoon @ 4, it was obvious he was ready to move on. After several verbal disagreements on this last day, I wanted him gone. Yes, I paid him his last check and that was probably my mistake. At that point, I didn't want him to touch anything else. I would fix it the way it should be.
I think he's a talented builder, but his attention to detail on my project was VERY disappointing. I'd hate for someone else to have my same experience. If time runs short and he doesn't plan appropriately, someone else might get short changed like I did. I have photos to back up my statements.
