Cabinet Makeovers

Fantastic! I love them.

Dan and his team built our dream kitchen while saving us money by reusing our existing cabinet boxes. They built new boxes above the old taking them to the ceiling and creating loads of extra storage. Dan provided very thoughtful design and function input and we're so glad we implemented all of his ideas. His crew are courteous, detail oriented, highly skilled and a pleasure to work with.

They walked off the job after 6 weeks and the job was half finished. The owner said that we couldn't be pleased just because we didn't want trash ALL in our white painted cabinets (awful). After they walked off I had to find another contractor to come in and see if they would finish another contractors work. I did and to Mr. Jackson's and his painters advise EVERYTHING that was painted by Cabinet Makeover had to be sanded off and repainted. Then all doors and hardware had to be installed. Cabinet Makeover signed an agreement that they would give me the hardware to finish the job and then backed out! So I had to pay an extra $700.00 for hardware much less the entire redo of the kitchen. Jackson Construction did a fabulous professional job!! There was never a problem with Mr. Jackson and his work or workers! Be very aware!! I've attached pictures of the trash in the paint and how my kitchen got left after 6 weeks of work by Cabinet Makeover. They were only refacing so the boxes you see in the pictures were already there! They did build up to the ceiling, drawers and a pantry. Awful experience for a kitchen renovation! Cabinet Makeover started November 1, 2016 then walked off December 8th. I didn't get my kitchen back until February 11, 2017.

Excellent project management and design. Carpenters and painters worked steadily and were clean and courteous.

Well. We even did a few upgrades in the process of restoration. To start, he took a pretty average, 'stock' kitchen and made us a showplace...for very reasonable cost. Once again, he put our kitchen back in business and has real craftsmen working with him.

A few months after the work was completed, we noticed problems with flaking paint at seams.  We contacted Mr. Zimmerle, and he did come out and look at the problem.  He asked me if we had closed the house up for a period of time.  Of course not.  We live in this house.  Nothing was done to rectify the problem.  We tried contacting him many times without a call back.   
In addtiion to the flaking paint, one of the doors to the pantry is warped.  It never closed properly.  
Over the stove, a cabinet was created which the range hood vents into.  The vent pressurizes the space and causes the cabinet door to fall to the floor.  The cabinet door is damaged from the fall.  We installed a safety chain to prevent the door from falling and hurting someone (it fell on a family member previously).  Hence, we never use our range vent.
We would have appreciated a call back but after many attempts we are now very dissatisfied and frustrated.

Dan redid all our kitchen cabinets a few years ago.  Some of the doors were showing signs of wear and the paint was chipping off.  I called his project manager, David Ghee, who is wonderful, and he scheduled it and got it done right away.  They took the doors that needed repainting  back to their shop and then brought them back looking beautiful.  Not often that someone stands behind their work years later.  I would definitely recommend them.  They even came on Saturday to do it which worked great for us.

The thing that stood out to me was the owner was good with his creation skills.
