We had a nightmarish experience with a contractor who was unable to pull a building permit on his own to build our new deck after beginning the tear out. I got Blake Boyd's contact information from friends who had just added a deck to their home. Within three hours of my initial phone call, he had come by the house and called back with an estimate that was significatly lower that the "nightmare" contractor. His crew was obviously skilled, timely, very polite and completed the huge job (approximately 25' by 40' deck with a full roof and side shutters designed according to our specifications) in less than 10 days. There was no "up-front" payments for materials requested, he came by the house on a regular basis to check on the work, and even stopped by on Halloween (a major East Nashville holiday on our block) with his son to meet my wife. I cannot recommend his work and professionalism more highly.
