ADT Security Services, Inc

We had lightning strike our home a week ago and still no one has been out to inspect the system. You have to stay on hold with them for at least 30 minutes. They are not willing to help you in any way. They are the most frustrating company to work with and I would not recommend them.

I called to set up service in a rental house for the period of time my husband was deployed.  I was told by ADT that since I am a USAA member, active military family and in a rental, my contract would be for one year.  Once that year was up, I called to cancel service since my husband was back from deployment and was informed that the actual contract that I had signed (fine print) was for a 2 year contract and I would have to buy out my contract. My husband and I then moved 2 months prior to our contract being up and was told that I would have to transfer service.  I explained to the person on the phone that we did not want service in our new house and was told that I could not cancel.  I then called back a month later because I kept getting automated calls from ADT that there was a low battery.  I then called this morning to try again to cancel my account and the rep kept talking over me trying to get me to transfer service.  He then told me that I had signed a 3 year contract and I told him there was no way I had signed a 3 year contract and that I had now been told 3 different time frames.  Once he actually pulled up my account he said that my contract would be up on October 19 and that I should just put the cancellation for October 19 since I would have to pay a percentage of my contract in order to cancel.  When I asked what that percentage would be he said he did not know but that he would just put the cancellation for October 19.  When I told him I wanted to cancellation for this date, he kept talking over me and would not listen.  I refuse to put up with such terrible service and just hung up. I will have to try and call back AGAIN to try AGAIN to cancel my account.

They have a partnership with my insurance company and my insurance company referred them to me. Their services have been so good. I would recommend them to anyone. They have been real sportive quick to answer questions and help me when I forgot. They had real good customer service in terms of responding to questions so that I use the system correctly.

I recommend them. I like them a lot. My overall experience with them has been good.

Overall services are pretty good.  We have had some technical issues with their product, which is not necessarily their fault I don't guess.  They have come out and looked at it each time. We already had an existing system from previous owner so it didn't cost us as much as if we would have had to start from scratch.  I would use them again in the future.

It did take a while to install the alarm however they made sure there were no wires showing. They were very friendly and they answered all questions. They also respond fast if the alarm is set off.

Brinks Home Security was professional and did a great job. They had it set up and done within two days of the original call. They respond quickly if the alarm is set off. I am very pleased with them.
