A1 REMODELING,A1 KITCHEN & BATH

Bill (Senior) came out and did an estimate for replacing french doors from my kitchen area to the back deck.  The floor had some water damage around the door frame, so it also had to be replaced. Rather than having to replace some of the laminate flooring (which would have required re-laying the floor from the area of damage over to the wall), I had an idea to put some tile down to make a "landing" in front of the doors, and Bill figured out how to do that so that the laminate flooring did not have to replaced, just removed.  He delivered the doors and installed them in a timely manner.  I still had to clean up some from the workers, and take the stickers off the glass in the doors after they were done.  He also had workers wash and seal my deck and repair and stain fencing (all from hail damage).  I had several other "little" jobs that needed doing; he was very helpful and prompt in getting those done (repairing a wrought iron hand rail, replacing locks).  I had a garage door problem that he couldn't fix though. I probably need a new door.  Overall, very nice work and very friendly and efficient.

This was a terrible experience. Bill represented his knowledge of the work I wanted done. His price was in line with other contractors, but the quality of his work does not support the company's claims. The workers did not have the wood, screws, washers, fence stretcher, etc. needed for the job. I had negotiated work to be done on my basement, approx. $7,500 but I canceled the work after the fence, ramp, & dog door disaster.
