SIGNATURE HOMES

Initially everything went well. We talked with other homeowners who had built with Signature and they had nothing, but glowing reports. We checked the BBB, and at the time they were members and in good standing. Their pricing was highly competitive, and we were thrilled to be getting our dream home. However, as time went on, the excuses kept coming as to why they hadn't started on our house. Finally, six months after they were supposed to start building and not even a rock had been moved on our lot, we learned they were out of money. And so are we. We considered getting an attorney, but there was no reason to do so as we wouldn't get any of our money back. I understand this is a tough time for builders, but they didn't give us our money back, lied and basically acted as though we were in the wrong for requesting our money.

My experience with Signature Homes was terrible. They were behind the promised closing date by six whole months. In the meantime we sold our home and had to live in a tiny apartment until the building was finished. They failed entirely to meet our needs.
