"I explained to the new owners we were delayed in responding due to an overwhelming amount of new calls the last 3 months of 2016. I did not get to see any cracks inside because she wanted to argue with me. I gave her a repair date which frustrated her that it was a month away. The cracks in question were 3/16",which is still within normal range. The crew showed up and thought they were at the wrong house because the cracks were completely closed. It still amazes me after the third forum reporting how bad of a job we did that they fail to mention we cut out the mortar joints and repaired them. I explained this to her over a text.If the owner would have been there to show the supervisor her concerns this would be over, but they were not home. I have responded to every text,I still have them. Saying we have not responded in three months is untrue. That is why I text or email in this situation. I am sure these are nice folks, just like we are a reputable company, if you want this to be resolved be home at least in the morning and show the supervisor your concerns. We still don't know at this point that the cracks inside are even related to our work."
"Every contractors nightmare customer."
"Telling the truth is very important when talking about someone.First off she was satisfied or we would have never been paid. On the contract in writing I wrote the main girder hump in the center of the hallway would always be there. We offered to make adjustments but she said no. So 2 years later she demanded a full refund. We told her no. So she then hires an attorney who threaten to take us to court. They hired an engineer who said in his report our work just needed to be adjusted. Our contract is very clear we offer a 2 year warranty and had offed this already. So we go back and do our normal adjustment. The engineered came out and passed everything. We even have his final inspection letter. WE NEVER ADDED ANY MORE PIERS OR DROP GIRDERS THEN WE ORIGINALLY HAD INSTALLED.Her husband was demanding items to be corrected that we did not install, the engineer explained that to him. Now that we did our adjustment she is was told my brother(vice president of Pro-Lift Systems) she was very satisfied with the work,(now for the second time). For some reason she now takes to the internet to talk bad about us. It is very obvious that this person cannot be pleased unless she receives a different outcome, like taking us to court. But she cant because her own engineer agrees with our work. We have 42 A+ Angie's list clients that awarded us a 2012 and 2014 Supper Service Award certificates. We take pride in our work. Some people are just hateful and don't know when the fight is over. Life is to short to let this type of customer bother us. I can guarantee we will keep our A+ rating on Angie's List and the BBB. Thanks"
This time he came out quickly again, told us what the problem was, and set up the work to be done on Labor Day, as time for us, was of the essence.
Edgar and his crew showed up earlier than planned, worked for over 9 hours and completed the tasks as outlined in the contract. Then even went far and above what we had contracted for by cleaning out our crawlspace, hauling away trash left from previous owner and setting up drainage for one of the gutter spouts in the area of the house he had just repaired.
We would highly recommend Johnny, Pro-Lift Systems and their crew for any foundation needs you may have. Its a pleasure to deal with companies such as these because of their honesty and integrity. Thank you Pro-Lift!
All three recommended relatively similar work to remedy the problem. However, the other two companies submitted bids that were nearly double Pro-Lift Systems? bid. Even though I half-expected that based on other reviews I?d read on the List, I struggled to understand how Johnny (the owner of Pro-Lift, who does initial visits and bids himself) could bid so much lower and still deliver quality work and the results I needed. (Bottom line, he believed I needed fewer pilings than the other companies were trying to sell me?and I believe he has the experience and knowledge to back up that claim?and he doesn?t have a sales staff or some of the other overhead of his competitors.)
Johnny was right on time for our initial appointment. He quickly determined what was happening to my foundation, and what needed to be done. He was very thorough in telling me what to expect if they did the work, as well as what _not_ to expect (in particular, that the cracks in the bricks and mortar probably wouldn?t close when they lifted the footer). I appreciated his honesty. He answered my numerous questions while he was here that day, and was equally helpful when I peppered him with more questions in the days to follow. He really knows his business, and he put me at ease that hiring Pro-Lift Systems was the right choice.
The contract was straightforward and included the exact price of the job, which was precisely what I ended up paying. No surprises.
When we scheduled my job for a Thursday and Friday, Johnny told me that it might (at no additional cost to me) run into Saturday. That ended up being the case, and I had no issue with that; in fact, I appreciate that they did the job right and didn?t rush just to get done in two days.
Pro-Lift?s crews worked their tails off, even when the heat index was north of 100 degrees. They have years of experience, and they?re really good at what they do. They?re also really easy-going. I had several conversations with Travis (crew foreman and Johnny?s brother) about the work they were doing for me, and he was always open to my input and my questions.
After lifting the foundation, they ground out the cracked mortar & tuck-pointed the bricks. They were careful to match the color of my existing mortar. They also installed and buried extensions on my downspouts to transport roof runoff out into my yard. And, in the initial meeting, Johnny volunteered that they would properly bury a French drain that was incorrectly installed in the lift area by the previous owners of my home. (In the end, Travis actually brought in a longer French drain to do the job right?at no extra cost to me. Wow.)
At my request, Johnny willingly added, for a very reasonable fee, additional downspout extensions on other parts of my house. I feel much better knowing that my downspout outflow isn?t going to be causing any more damage to my foundation.
Pro-Lift guarantees the pilings they installed for the life of my house, and I appreciate that security. And with all the ?little extras? they did for me, I believe I got my money?s worth and then some.
The work was done well and quickly and the crew was very respectful, hard-working and thorough. They even fixed a sidewalk issue that wasn't in the original plan.
We were very pleased with the final result - the brickwork was like new but blended perfectly.
Pro Lift was the quickest company to schedule an estimate, and they were the best price, and they could schedule the work the quickest, all points strongly in their favor.
They installed pylons under the foundation to strengthen the wall. I was particularly impressed that when they did find an unanticipated problem, he fixed it without asking for more money. I guess I wont know for years the ultimate result, but it looks like they did a great job. And the work is guaranteed, so I am not worried.
All the guys were quiet and neat, and they did a stellar job cleaning up after themselves. And I personally liked the fact that they did the work by hand. One of the companies that gave me an estimate showed me a video where they used a small excavator to dig the holes around the house, but that made me nervous so close to my AC unit.
I highly recommend them. I hope to never need them again, but if I have more issues with other parts of the foundation I know who to call.
