Murfreesboro Import and Domestic

It went really well! They have been a business for a long time in Murfreesboro. Their prices are reasonable and they are fantastic to work with.

My car was experiencing a loud noise when the AC was turned on. The air was still cold, but it wasn't very strong and the more it was turned up the louder the noise got with little improvement to the air flow. It was thought that the blower motor was the issue. They looked at the car and it turns out that the blower motor was fine, but that some rodents had built a nest in the cage part of the blower. It simply needed some cleaning out. I also had them replace the in cabin filter, while they were in that section of the car, as it was in dire need of replacement. They did a good job in a short time and was reasonably priced. I will use them again.

They're great. They're wonderful and excellent. I use them because they're extremely honest and they are good on their prices. They actually saved me $2,000 something dollars because I used a Groupon with another company that tried to screw me out of it by saying I had a broken head gasket. All it was was the temperature gauge and also the water pump. So, it saved me $2,000. I needed my car back, they couldn't get it done that day and they said, "We'll just jerry-rig and go around because you don't need heat in the summer time, of course." It's fine to drive and then, later when I need the heat they'll fix it then. But they told me up front, "Hey, we could do this for you."

I took my car to Murfreesboro Import and Domestic after another shop quoted me $2100 to have my engine repaired due to a blown head gasket.

I had decided to call Murfreesboro Import and Domestic for a second opionion because I had used them in the past and was informed that a blown head gasket would be $1200 to repair (they had all my car's info, VIN number, etc and knew the car's history). After the first shop was informed of this, they said that both gaskets were blown and I had a six cylinder engine, that being the difference in the quotes. Murfreesboro Imports informed me that I INDEED had a four cylinder engine and I shared this with the first shop who STILL insisted that the engine was a six cylinder and only later agreed that it was a four cylinder after going out to the garage and looking under the hood. It must be noted that I was on the phone with Murreesboro Imports who heard the entire conversation. The first shop then lowered their extimate to $1175 and then proceeded to ask if I still wanted to use them. I declined their offer.

At this point I had my car towed to Murfreesboro Import and Domestic and later learned the only problem was a bad thermostat. They performed a pressure test, a block test and both passed. They installed the new thermostat and the car runs fine now.
